Nice looking place. Expensive but on the main square. No surprises here though. The usual suspects

A nice selection of bottles but nothing super rare. Clearly the organisers know what they are selling but it seems rather touristy. Tasting sessions. Nice staff and decent selection. Nice shop

Didn’t see “Abbey N°8” anywhere on the facade but it did say “Belgian Beers & Brews”. Anyway this place is solely focused on tourists. Located in ground zero of Antwerp tourism. It is more enjoyable than the other 2 tourist traps nearby which are glorified night shops at most. At least this place looks somewhat decent, appearance is exactly how you would expect it to be. It is pretty small but not claustrophobically so. I didn’t buy anything here but service seemed not bad, they were offering some samples of Huyghe beers it seems (I know – Huyghe – but it is free & for the general public). The lady at the counter was giving some samples of some hard liquor to a customer. They are nice that way it seems, this is not something I have seen before at places like this. Selection is pretty standard, the trappist’s, some standard dull picks, abbey beers, I saw a couple of lambic’s including Tilquin. They have some neat glassware. Considering that Antwerp doesn’t have a real beer store, this is the best you are going to do in Antwerp store-wise. Seeing as the prices are quite high, approaching what you would pay in a bar, you might want to opt to get some take-away at a bar instead of here given that some bars will have more interesting options, if you are bent on taking bottles back & you cannot get to Gent or Willems.

very friendly people here, doing a good service ! prices are a bit high, though , as a bottleshop . on the other hand, they are RIGHT in the touristic center, so that needs to be taken in conideration, too .
not much new ’ticks’ to be found here, but if a ’ touristic ’place offers struise , dochter van de korenaar , etc, its not too bad for what it is ! about 100 beers on shelves here . also some fun extras ( glasses, advocaat ( = specialty of alcohol and eggs ) , cava , ...
in comperation to other great beerplaces though, i cant rate it as high as the ratings below , if i wanna stay honoust ..
do note that IF you go to a touristic bottleshop in antwerp, you should take this one :)
