Industrial complex brewery, nice tasting room. Tour included the barrel room but not the coolship. tasting was great, taps and bottles of Curieux.

Thought I reviewed after summer stop..guess not..tour starts with beer samples first which is a change from most..but I liked the change..offered 4 small samples in tulip including curiuex..tour was well led by knowledgeable female beer geek..got to see the entire process..amazed by output from the space..but an upcoming expansion should increase space..highlight of tour was barrel aging room and smell of bourbon from the barrels..would have been nice if they were willing to sell some rarities in the shop..but they said hey didn’t have any..worth the 15 minute drive or so from the old port area..

I’ve been on the tour twice with different friends and enjoyed it both times. The brewery is clean and modern and the tour gives you an idea of just how small the operation is. The shop sells a limited selection of schwag and some of their brews. if you are lucky they will have something really unique on sale - like a kohlschip brew. Tasting runs you through the flagship line plus Allagash Black.

I stopped in the bottle shop on a recent trip and was a little disappointed. I was hoping to grab some house beer. The guy looked at me like I had two heads when i asked for it...like it was a dumb thing to ask for. Same look when i asked for anything else that was brewery/local only. I explained that we get good Allagash distribution in PA so I was hoping to see something new. Struck out and left feeling like I interrupted the guy from his laptop.

After four substantial samples, we were treated to a fine tour of the facilities. The tour guide was a home brewer and quite knowledgeable about the operation. Afterwards, after much groveling and a threat of tears he consented to sneak us into the coolship room. It was empty at the time but still "cool."

Was lucky enough to get a private tour from my friend who is the lead brewer on staff. Great ambiance for a brewery... very clean, informative and in the thick of it kind of tour from opening the lauter tun to pouring sample from the fermenters and barrels at every stop. Take the tour and get a handful of samples at the tasting room/ store... pick up some fresh bottles and keep your eyes open for the coolship bottle releases. If you can go check out the wild/sour barrel room in the old brewery location just around the corner. Great people great beer. Thanks !

OK tour, not as funny as many, but impressive in seeing the cope of their operation. They do the sampling before the tour, oddly or not so oddly enough. Four beers of good samples and free. Worth it if you are iin the vicinity.

This is a great brewery to visit. You have to get tickets online from there website but they are free. I came for the wrong time and it was not an issue. Started off with a tasting and then a tour of the brewery. Best tour inside a brewery that I’ve had.

Stopped by hoping to sample some of Allagash’s selection. My wife and I love the White, so we were looking forward to trying a few of their other beers. Unfortunately, due to Maine’s stupid law, we weren’t able to sample any of their beers because we weren’t on the tour which was fully booked for all day. Although, we could have waited an hour until the next tour and been placed on the wait list in case a spot opened, but we decided to just pick up a couple of glasses and head out.

I love this brewery! I took a tour recently. They have a new tap system in the retail area, and continue to expand the brewery itself. We got to sample four beers, and then purchased some after the tour was over. The staff here is awesome and they produce such an awesome product. I’ve been on five or six tours over the past few years and have enjoyed myself each time!
