Great place. In a nice stretch of an otherwise struggling downtown. The pub is really clean and attractive looking. Big place, roomy, nice bar and restaurant. The service is friendly, and attentive. The selection is great, with an impressive spread of heir own beers, and a wide selection of guest beers as well. Great food. Had a killer 28 dry aged burger. Prices very very reasonable. Great place.
This place far exceeded my expectations. We celebrated our two year anniversary here. They have a six brew flight for ten bucks. Good beer across all styles and enough bottles to hit anyone’s desire. Service was attentive and very friendly. Food was good, dessert was excellent.
Ambiance: This place is solid in the middle of a sketchy downtown area. The exterior is nice looking but the interior has the feel of a laid back upscale place. They had a nice long bar that could easily eat 25+ partons and plenty of tables around and upstairs. They had their brewing equipment up by the front and along the one wall, which always adds to the place.
Service: Decent, Efficient and the bartender was knowledgeable about the beers they had on tap.
Selection: They had a pretty nice selection on tap with about 10-11 in hours beers on tap plus another 50+ bottle too. They are the brewers of Fegleys and had 6 flagships on tap plus several more in house exlusives that don’t get bottled.
Value: Decent prices, nothing too expensive but for the quality, could have been argued to been a dollar cheaper in some cases.
Overall, cool place to go to, great setting and decent enough beers.
Stopped here on the way north from VA to NJ...was looking for some decent grub and good beer. Although I’d been here before...it had been awhile...but I remembered this place (hard to find good food/craftbeer spontaneously while driving long distance). I immediately ordered a flight...and then another...and possibly a 3rd (had to taste "all" of their beers...right?). Overall I would say their beers were good to very good with a couple of standouts...but overall as group I wouldn’t say this is a must stop for a craftbeer traveler. What definitely helps though is the quality of their food...very good...so for our needs that night...this place absolutley met & probably exceeded our needs.
Was pleasantly surprised with this place not knowing what to expect before going. Nice new building downtown with a clean, modern styling. Service was pretty good, but it was hard to get the bartender’s attention. Good variety of house beers to try. Sampler tray lets you try 6 beers for a good price, but you have to get the 4 main offerings leaving only 2 to choose from the other offerings. Didn’t try the food, but the beers were pretty good and worth the visit.
Lovely atmosphere - leans toward trendy restaurant than gritty brewpub, but the tanks lining the dining area are a nice touch. Big bar, lots of different styles on tap, and friendly people. A nice place in Allentown.
Good sampler for variety, though a little pricey, and good food. They make some great, big IPAs, too. French fries are dry though, so I suggest swamping them out for a veggie if you are dining in. I also recommend their spicy chicken hummus wrap. Note: don’t count on their website for what is on tap, it is often incorrect. If you are in Allentown, a must stop for good, fresh, beer.
Guys - you really need to work on service. I sat in a booth for over 10 minutes before a manager came over to see how I was doing, Melissa took my order and then brought over Eric my server. Beer and food (Salmon St Lucia) was ok but nothing special. Eric basically ignored me - my empty glass and plate sat for about 10 minute before Melissa came back again. Fortunataly she comped my second beer otherwise my rating would have been even lower. Eric - I think that you need to consider a career change.
