Big liquor store with a lot of great beer. Service is crappy. Prices are average. They get the rare stuff and it seems to hang around a bit longer. Ask if you donít see something - they like to hide things.

Nice store in an interesting area. Visited after stopping at the Cheeky Monk. Nice selection and decent prices, but nothing to get very excited about. Of course my timing (as usual) was probably bad. Think it worth a stop if in the area.

Large place with a nice selection of beer. Didnít talk to the staff as much so I canít say much about that, but I left satisfied.

Whoever their manager was on halloween night was a total douchebag. I came in in costume (because it was halloween) and within seconds of me coming in he descended on me to inform me that I had to leave as they had a no shirt no service policy and most of my torso was exposed because of my costume. I assumed policies like these were in place to keep out vagrants, but whatever. It seemed to me he was just itching to exercise whatever tiny shred of power he had, stemming from, I theorize, something else tiny in his life. I said something to the effect of "come on dude, really? Itís halloween. Itís a costume." He was adamant about the policy, which whatever, some peoplesí minds canít function outside a set of rules, and I even said to the girl I was with before I came in, something to the effect of "if thereís a rule nazi in there who says I canít be in there because of my costume, youíre gonna have to go in." So, having already considered this possibility, I calmly say something to the effect of "whatever, you f@cking nazi," and walk away without another word. Or try to walk away. Rulenazi McNeverbeenlaidís microscopic ego (again, stemming from other microscopic issues) was so deeply wounded by these four words that he, in a fit of high school principal-like rage and indignation starts yelling at me to "get back here," presumably so he could scold me? Teach me a lesson? Iím not really sure by what right or for what purpose he so desperately wanted me to come back after telling me I would not be allowed to spend my money there. Anyway, I respond with a well-deserved over the shoulder middle finger and an equally well-deserved "f@ck you @sshole." Assuming the situation to be over, I fall back on plan B, which is to have my companion go in and spend my money at this store. Had it not been so late and we were running out of options for alcohol, I would have voted with my dollars on the spot and never set foot in the place again after that childish confrontation. Anyway, the situation was apparently NOT over because the 50-year old virgin then pursues me INTO THE PARKING LOT WITH A POLICE OFFICER yelling like a godd@mn maniac "That guy! him right there! Heís permanently 86íed! Nobody with him is allowed in here!" So the cop, doing his job at the request of this douchefairy, explains that I have to leave and Iím like "uh, duh, Iím getting in the car right now. I donít understand why this toolbox is having such a meltdown over here," to which the cop shrugs his shoulders. Anyway, I ended up going to Paulís Liquors just a few blocks east with no issue whatsoever because the managers there do not have sociopathic microp@nis syndrome, and I suggest you spend your money there, or anywhere that doesnít employ that jack@ss, as well!

Visited April 3, 2014, to pick up some beers. Fairly big selection of 6-packs and bigger, singles selection of domestic beers smaller than I had expected though. OK parking just outside.

Big store with a big parking lot on Colfax by the Fillmore. Typical big beer store ambiance and service. Pretty huge seletcion of beer, bombers, imports and malt liquor, usually at least a gem or two. It has been picked through pretty good the last few times Iíve been there, though. Still, itís always worth taking a look if youíre in the area. Plus, itís right across the street from Sanchoís.

Waited in front of Argonaut for a few hours for the Bourbon County release on Black Friday. Unfortunately, they lied/changed their minds about allotment limits at the last minute. This was extremely disappointing. Otherwise, I would avoid, mostly do to being in a difficult spot in town and many other stores having the same bottles for cheaper, and with much better service.

seems to be the choice of cheap tall cans for the local transient community. other than a good malt liquor and pale lager selection, they have a lot of good nerd beers, too. lots of local colorado stuff, a decent selection of european imports, and stuff from around the us. pretty good pricing, too.

Went here once during my Denver trip while on a beer run. Massive store which is basically standard for any US liquor store. Nice selection of standard American brews and some European. Couldnít find any logic behind the way the beers are displayed. Not sorted on brewery nor style. Just randomly placed on the shelves. Picked up some bottles I didnít saw anywhere else, but no real rarities. Ok store!

Nice beer store on Colfax Avenue. Selection was actually a little better than Mr. Bs, though I preferred the location and atmosphere of Mr. Bís.
