Located in a strong touristy area and it shows. Or rather, I hope this bar can only survive by stupid tourists coming by and not by the ignorance of locals, because this is everything a Belgian beer bar should not be. Hugely boring list of beers, both in bottles but certainly in the tap list which was almost exclusively the Belgian semi-macros. Most bottles are very expensive although admittedly the single price for (almost) all bottles also means you can get a Rochefort 10 or Boon Gueuze for 8,50 euro and for Paris thatís not horrible. For, say, a Piraat it is though. Some bottles (the ones I wanted) were unavailable and I got exactly 1 new tick. The service was genuinely disinterested and this was shown most in the complementary popcorn we got. Not only was it the most chewy, stale popcorn I ever tasted in my life, it represented everything that Au Trappiste is (not). We could only laugh out loud for its stupidity and move on...

Long-running Belgian bistrot in the heart of central Paris. Very popular for tourists and during sports events. Decent selection of classic Abbey brews on tap as well as Jenlain. The bottle menu is quite extensive too. Their mussels dishes are popular, as well as a few other classic greasy snacks. Be careful with prices, good beer in central Paris is far from cheap.

Not a bad place with a reasonable selection on tap, and pretty good range of Belgian bottled beer. Food was typical pub/brasserie style but not too bad. Fairly heavy tourist traffic through the day, more of a local feel later at night

I liked this place more than most others it seems. Comfortable Parisian cafe ambiance. Not a great selection of taps, mostly Leffe, but a decent bottle list. Prices seem to be cheaper, and down right reasonable, if you stand at the bar. I think you avoid a dine in tax that will almost double your bill, if itís like other places in the city. I tried the burger and fries, and it was good. This is not a must visit spot, but if youíre in the area, itís worth a beer or two.

Rather small place with ok bottled beer selection (mainly Belgians but also few interesting French beers). 20 beers on tap but nothing exciting. Most of the people were having lunch here and food looked really good, but we were still full from breakfast, so we didnít try it. Pretty expensive.

Nice centrally located pub with good tap offer for non-Europeans and good bottle selection for all. Prices quite high, but beers there are generally quite good. Service very correct and friendly.

The tap selection isnít great, itís mostly Heineken, AB-InBev (Grimbergen, Leffe, etc). However, with over 100 bottles, you can definitely spend some time here. The problem is that the prices arenít cheap; most 33cl bottles are 8 euro. Good location though, so high prices are to be expected. Typical brasserie food (moules frites, croque monsieurs, salads, etc.) is decent enough.

Itís ok! you can get Carolus triple and Chimay white on tap, so you canít complain too much. Good location too, in case you are shopping and it starts to rain. I donít really love this place but I keep winding up back there, so it must not be too terrible. Guess thatís all I can say. Oh and the fries are humorously gross. Like theyíve been fried three or four times. But I suppose you could do worse in Paris!
