Visited in February 2017. It was Saturday and place was totally full. Managed to get one pint and it was great. Seems to be very popular place.

Visited 6/28/2016. Great food and great beer here. They offer much more than BBQ, including comfort food, salads, seafood, plenty of veggies and more. For beer, they had about 25 offerings on tap, of which 4 or 5 were Beachwood beers, and the rest were guest beers, of which a couple were fairly rare. Quality of the beer choices was excellent; you’re not going to find any Angry Orchard here. Great service. The space is small, but cozy; this isn’t necessarily a bad thing, except that you may have to wait. Highly recommended.

This place is by far one of my favorite breweries. My family and I have been going since before I turned 21 and now I can not only enjoy their delicious food, but some of the best beer in California. I don’t live super close anymore, so anytime I can get a hold of a Beachwood bottle at my nearby bottle shop I treat it like gold.

Excellent beer, and as always, I love it when breweries welcome guest taps from other local breweries. Lots of unique food items on the menu, only had appetizers though. My only complaint is that it’s simply too small....felt too busy and hectic to me for enjoying beer. Definitely more of a restaurant place.

We came here on 20.2.2016. We very much liked the Long Beach location from our previous visits and finally made it to Seal Beach. This location is much smaller than the Long Beach one. Very well decorated interior and nice bar. On a Saturday around noon, the place was crowded. 35 beers on tap whereof 6 were from their own brewery. Really good mixed selection of Lagers, Weissbeers, Stouts and Pale Ales. Liked the Rose Royce a lot. We had a Uerige Alt, which was not so good, maybe caused by some transportation problems. Also had some tapping issues with the Berliner Weisse from Telegraph Brewing. Was surprised as Beachwood is well known for their high quality beers. Food was absolutely excellent, although they were running out of the Chili. Service was very professional and friendly.

Anytime you can combine a great craftbeer bar with great BBQ...you have a winning combination. Add to that a cool town (Seal Beach) and some great staff...and this becomes a must visit great craftbeer and food destination. I can’t say enough about the quality of their BBQ. And the tap selection is large and varied. All in all I had a great time here recently and look forward to visiting their brewery in Long Beach on my next trip to LA.

Favorite place of our entire trip, and we went to all the top SoCal beer destinations. The decor was retro and awesome. Every single detail was thought out. From the menus to the sauce on the table to the tap list, there was not a single detail that wasn’t superbly designed ... Impressive. The waitress was quick, helpful and knowledgable. The beer was ridiculously good and the tap list was split between their own awesome beer and some meticulously curated guest taps. The food was indescribably good. Beef cheek sandwich, smoked wings, both were great. this was not food that was just "good for a brewery". It was phenomal in and of itself irrespective of the beer. An excellent location right near the beach. Can’t ask for much more. This simply cannot be missed on a trip down the coast. It would be dangerous if I lived here ...

Nice cozy place that fills up quickly. Good tap list with own and friends beers, excellent feed and good service. Nothing much else you can ask for.

This place has become my local bar, essentially. It’s the closest place with good beer to the house. So whenever I come home from work and get off the freeway, I have to decide: left for Beachwood or right for home.

I think at this point everyone knows the restaurant is small. It gets busy on special events and pretty much any weekend. But they do a really good job with service here. Though maybe I’m biased...

The draft list is just about always solid and interesting. Part of the reason I like it so much is that there’s usually a good balance of new stuff, stuff you know is good, and stuff you’ve never even heard of before. Only real knock is that beers can be a little expensive, particularly for special stuff (and "festivals"/special events). It’s not exorbitant, but you’re not going to get any $3 beers here.

The food is solid. As the name implies, BBQ is the primary style here. But, they’ve got something for everyone and frequently do special food events, pairings, etc. Mac & Cheese night is a tough night to try to get a seat.

Anyway, one of the best beer bars/restaurants in the area and probably the state. I guess that’s enough of me being a Beachwood BBQ commercial for now.
