80 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 jbrus (138) Delft, Netherlands | May 10, 2013 Very nice bar. Friendly staff. Nice large selection including some rarities. A place I’d love to go back to. | 80 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 16/20 Borresteijn (141) Amsterdam, Netherlands | May 10, 2013 Visited on a sunny national holiday evening. Some seatings on the patio on the main street, spaceous elevated 2-storey inside with all wood, very cozy feel to it, in the back there is a courtyard with plenty more outside seating. Nice tap list with some rarities like Dochter vd Korenaar, Emelisse and De Molen on tap, good bottled beer list as well. Prices were a bit steep though, €6,- for a 33cl DDvdK Belle-Fleur IPA and 5,50 for Emelisse Blond to name a few. I don’t like the fact that the prices are not listed on the menu, so these came as a bit of a shocker afterwards. Anyway, service was very friendly, quick, attentive, had some good food for decent prices. Would certainly visit again. | 94 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 19/20 alethol (12) , Netherlands | December 20, 2012 Great place with rare finds on draft. Tried a Embrasse Peated Oak Aged. Superb. Also Avec Les Bons Voeux and an Embrasse. Both very enjoyable. Extremely friendly staff and good service. | 80 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 16/20 Martinus (116) Nijmegen, Netherlands | December 3, 2012 Nice place in Rotterdam, with expanding beer collection, an enthusiastic staff and a manager who has more than decent knowledge about beer.
I was there during a tasting, for which the chef made dishes really well suited to the beers, it was absolutely brilliant. Did hear he is not the resident chef though, so can’t say anything about the quality of the normal food offerings.
I felt very welcome and definitely would visit again when I’m in the neigbourhood. | 74 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 Mathieu87 (84) Ganshoren, Belgium | January 28, 2012 For about 100 beers listed. 6-7 on tap, don’t know exactly anymore. Even some info on "how to brew" in the beerlist. We wanted to eat typical Flemish stoofvlees, but all of a sudden it was sold out, really weird. Ordered a Belgisch plankje instead. Some Belgian cheeses, not bad at all. Nice place to hang out. |
