Great little shop in Moabit. Not the widest selection of beer, but certainly the most interesting selection I have seen in Berlin. Nice selection of German (and some Austrian) craft beer, a decent selection and Belgian and some other imported quality beer. Very friendly and knowledgeable owner. Certainly on my must-visit list in Berlin.

A very nice owner shoved alot of interest and gave us first class service. He also helped us pack it so we could get it on the plane. The selection is not the greatest but its varies alot and you can find some treasures. Some breweries i havent seen anywhere else there. +for some nice mikkellers. Prob the only place in Berlin for a proper craftbeer geek

Very good selection of non German beers for Berlin/Germany, plus some very interesting German microbreweries; friendly and helpful owner. A bit pricey.

Real easy to get to from the S-Bahn station Bellevue, cute little shop on a nice street, great service and besides the great wine selection and food stuff (smoked paprika, spanish potato chips) they have great non-German (USA, Dutch, Belgian, Scottish, etc) beer. A great place. Go here, you will not be disappointed. (edited: just visited again and had to update my selection rating. Lots of great German micro stuff here along with US and the usual Belgian suspects, and some not so usual Belgians.)

Went here a few times in late 2011/early 2012, had some nice things unusual for Germany (even Europe) and I like the community building (tastings, etc.) but the prices were quite high and I never did quite shake off the dislike of small boutique owner hovering. I’m a little burned up that the proprietor decided to rate his own store here on Rate Beer, though the enthusiasm might be forgiven if he didn’t rate down the other shops in the city.

If you find yourself in Berlin this is a must visit place. Very easily accessible - located only a few hundred metres from the Moabit S-bahn station the place is a wine shop with a small but very qualified selection of craft beer. Emphasis is on US, British and German microbrew. Prices are a bit high but I understand this is because the owner basically has to replenish his stock by himself visiting the various German microbrewers and importing beer into Germany. Rainer is extremely knowledgeable about beers in general and is very attentive and willing to help you out. Tastings are organised occasionally with some high profile visits by US and German brewmasters. On my visit here I was treated to a new beer that nobody had rated before and in a subsequent trade (you know sometimes it’s nice to bring exotic beer from your own country to a fellow beer geek even if you also buy bottles from his shop) I was pampered with a rare, vintage Doppelsticke Alt. I have yet to find a bottle shop in Berlin with a more interesting beer selection. BTW it’s worth mentioning that the "Berlin Bier Shop" is actually a duplicate of this place and should probably be merged if an admin comes around.

Essentially, this is a wine store - with a great beer selection (more than 80 special, rare beers).

I loved visiting this place on my last trip to Berlin. I couldn’t find any Canadian beer but that’s ok I was looking for German and European beers and boy was I NOT disappointed. The guy working there was really nice and gave me a bunch of suggestions. I will be back Wunderbar!!!

I have been to Berlin Bier Shop a handful of times and enjoyed it. Rainer, as pointed out by others, is very friendly and helpful. As an American in Berlin, it is one of the better places to be able to pick up a few good American beers when homesick, mainly Sierra, Victory, and Anchor. Selection also includes a good mix of Belgians and nice selection of German brewers doing American and newer styles. Price, also pointed out by others, can be a drawback, but it appears mostly justified. Definitely worth a stop in Berlin bottle shops, especially for imported beers.
