Parking is a b, even on Sunday. So-so neighborhood. The grocery store is nice enough, itís clean and the beer is easy to find. The service isnít great, though, I mean, itís a bottle shop in a grocery store. I like that most of it is chilled, and the selection is actually extremely good. Value is pretty good, some cheaper local bombers. Overall a solid bottle shop.

The sign outside claims to have a 1000 bottles and you believe it once you see the coolers. Almost all beers are chilled except for most of the stouts. They focus on local stuff, the number of bombers will leave you dizzy. I asked for some assistance and got some great suggestions of stuff Iíve never heard of. Didnít insult me by suggesting common stuff. The prices are fair. They do have rare bourbon and Cantillon but you are going to pay $60 for a 750 or $30 or 375. A little much for me, but what was the last time you say Cantillon on the shelf? If I was downtown Iíd come back despite being a little light on the 6 packs, more bomber focused.

Superb! Tons of beer. Awesome service. Really a fun place. Warning, walking in this neighborhood at night can be iffy!

Visited on Monday 21/04/14 around 6pm. Solid beer shop for a downtown location. No way is there 1,000+ bottles but the total is comfortably in the hundreds maybe between 4 and 600.
Plenty of CA picks, European numbers and tasty out of state breweries like HOTD and Cascade to name a few. A good amount of beers are in fridges if you require immediate refreshment. Service was so so, 2 girls behind tills, zero shop floor presence, they just sat and chatted at the tills even when there were no customers.
Overall a solid bottle shop.

Nice spot downtown. Inside a grocery store. One grocery aisle packed with tasty beer. Good range of local and regional, and some pretty decent international as well. Prices were surprisingly good as well.

Place is located downtown. Had very little problems finding it. Parking could be a challenge but if you go there on a weekend, you shouldnít have too many problems. Beers are located in the far right corner of the grocery store. They have a great selection of local, regional bees and imports. One of two places I go to shop for beers in the San Diego metro area. Prices are a little high but selection is top notch. Iíll definitely be back whenever Iím in the area.

Yep damn good. An intimidating range of craft beer and in particular local / CA stuff. Decent amount of Euro stuff but to be honest you donít come here for this stuff. Was so hard for me to pick out my wife-mandated daily limit of 3 tall bottles. Pricing maybe not the sharpest but pretty good.

Located near a number of brewpubs and bars the block itself had some ícharacterí to it. However once inside the selection of beers more than make up for the atmosphere. This place has brought its íAí game. Whole rows of local California breweries compete for your wallet.
I forced myself to leave with only Almanac sours but the selection was so good I could have easily bought a case. Between the Lost Abbeys, the San Diego breweries, the sours, and the rest there was something for everybody. Prices did not seem too bad but I was not able to stop at BevMo for a point of reference.
If you are down by the Gaslamp be sure to swing in here for a few beers to open in the hotel or take home to share with friends. I would definitely return even if I did have transportation the next time I visited San Diego.

Best way to describe this place is a NY bodega on steroids. Typical small grocery in the front and along the left wall and then tons of liquor, wine and beer in the middle and right side. Atmosphere was laid back and easy going. Service was nowhere to be found initially but once they cleared the small line I was asked if I needed help but I was good by then. Quality was solid all around. I only saw a few bottles I would say are past their prime and they had some really cool glasses, including one of the specialty Duvelís which I hadnít seen yet. Selection was top notch. They have a TON of beer in that place including some pretty limited bottles from overseas to go along with the above average local selection. Prices were a touch high on the rarer stuff but the rest was on par with all of the other shops I have visited in the area. Overall a really nice bottle shop in the city limits, if I lived in the area I would definitely return often.

Holy shit the selection here is mind-blowing, compared to any other place Iíve been. They have local brews, Belgians, other imported stuff, and many other domestic craft breweries represented. I spent quite some time going through their shelves, and had to come back a second time to verify that I didnít miss anything. Again, this place had the best selection of any store that Iíve ever been to. They have home brew supplies, too, as my wife pointed out to me. They also have various snacks and drinks available. Itís like a home brew supply store, and convenience store, and a beer store all had a fucking baby. Awesome place. Favorite beer store in the whole U.S.
