The website has a lot of info, but its always easy to find what I’m looking for. Plus, Fred knows his beer and his suggestions have been spot on. This IPA girl will keep on ordering!!

I have been coming here for a couple years now. The selection is great, the service is very friendly and the location is very convenient for me. They have a great array of bottles from local breweries as well as other breweries from all over the world. The owner, Fred, is very knowledgeable and will give you honest recommendations. He will even go so far as to get things for you that he may not regularly carry should you ask. Fred also carries a number of the more commonly used supplies for homebrewing. He has WhiteLabs yeasts and a variety of hops. He has the best prices in town on grain. Two-Row for a dollar a pound and all of the other grain is only $1.59 a pound which is on average a $0.40/pound (or more) savings over other homebrew shops on their specialty grains. Freddy brews too so he can answer questions that you may have regarding equipment or ingredients. One of the only shops in town that consistently stocks Alpine Beer Co. offerings which is worth the trip for that alone.

To Scott_Feutz, I am sure your opinion of Freddy is more than alittle skewed. I have been dealing with him for a year and half now. never once has he agured with me, or been rude what so ever. I think everyone needs to look at all Fredds other reviews and make their opinion that way. I assure you if you work in a beer store/warehouse, where you carry big cases of beer, then your not disabled. Feel free to message me with ANY questions about this store. My name is Scott Feutz and Today I was proudly told to "leave my store" by the ownerFreddy, and called a stupid Redneck. It came about because He was yelling about politics and I happened to point out that he might be incorrect. He got mad and said I "never listen to anyone and that I know everything". At that I started to laugh, because he just described himself. At that point he assaulted Me ( a Disabled Vet) by throwing his phone at me. He then told me to get out and as I was leaving he tried to spit on me. He also said that he hated MOST Americans because we think we need to get involved in everybody’s problems.I know he is a self proclaimed Iraqi-American and probably has traveled more than myself but that doesn’t mean I am a stupid American . I would call for any Servicemen and Women to boycott his store because he has no respect for their Service or what they have done for him. I went there for his weekly Beer tastings and for supplies to brew..Not anymore.I’ll go to BNS Brewing

Dropped in here while visiting San Diego last week; what a treat! Not like any other bottle shop experience I’ve had. Freddy is a real enthusiast and happy to share his enthusiasm, his knowledge and his beer! He’s a beer pedlar extraordinaire. Well worth a visit.

An Australia in need for some excellent American beers has found his salvation. Great Service, Fred was very helpful in trying to get the cheapest price for shipping. Unfortunate shipping to Australia from America is quite pricey, which is only reason why I will not be able to buy from here regularly.

My experience with Beverages 4 Less has been via mail order only, therefore the rating on ambience is what I consider a “middle of the road”. The overall experience was nothing short of excellent. Freddy replied to my request for a quote in two minutes flat! Once the deal was sealed, I received an immediate confirmation/tracking number and was off and running. The box arrived all the way across country in just about 4 days. All bottles arrived safe and sound due to the solid packaging. Their website is up to date and navigating it is a breeze. Their selection is great and the pricing is competitive with others in the area, especially on the shipping costs that can run a bit high. Overall, a solid dealer that I will certainly use again and again!

While my rating on the ambiance is a bit misleading as I’ve only ordered from there over the phone and have not actually been there myself, I do have a bit to add. A friend of mine took a trip to San Diego and visited the store as a first time customer on a recommendation and came back glowing with 2 cases of outstanding West Coast brews. The beers and his story of the place got me so intrigued I placed my own order less than 2 weeks later. To say Freddy is helpful and knowledgeable is an understatement. Freddy worked with me to find some really outstanding beers he had in his inventory and his awareness of the freshness of the beers is worth its weight in gold to hopheads like myself. Needless to say I will be ordering from him and this store routinely.
