The place has a good selection of beers, like a few from Stuisse or Dochter van de Korenaar, prices where reasonable, service was a bit less because the woman at the counter was chatting with a few other customers about life and such and ignored me for a minute or two, now is that not the worst thing in the world but i had other places to visit and was on a schedule. Overall a nice store with some good beers.

Excellent prices, great, helpful & friendly service (I have heard otherwise but it has not happened to me yet) and above all this place is a goldmine for affordable BE ticks. New stuff popping up all of the time, sometimes from breweries I have never even heard of. It seems hard for me to believe that they won’t have plenty of stuff that you have never had or seen before. If you like Belgian beers this is really the place to be. Accesibly by both a very beautiful bike-ride coming from Antwerp city or by an express bus that goes once an hour. More frequent busses are also available, they take longer. Busstop is very nearby. Been here twice so far and every time I am astonished by how small this is considering what they have. This is very much your regular liqueur store (“bierwinkel”), they seem to love bringing in new beers and what they do. This is the store for Belgian beers.

i know , what a LOW rating ! let me explain. i am both beerlover, and bartender. so i make both individual, and buisness purchases. they’re probably the cheapest , yeah, but the discount i got for buisness here ( individuals get no ( normaly) discount, thats usual, but bars and such do) was about 3-4 times lower than other places. so value is not a solid 10 to me . i gave it a 9 , becouse most costumors that go here ( trough RB) will be individuals, than this IS the cheapest is supose. selection : they got much, but i can find 99 % at other places too. diffrence is, i would need to go to maybe 4 places, here they have it at 1 place. plus some realy exclusive things too, i supose.no imports at all, only belgian stuff. ambiance and service... auwtch ! NEVER before have i seen this rudeness, not friendly AT ALL; she wasn’t talking to us, she was barking. i was litteraly afraid to ask her for a crate of something, cause she would need to go and get it, and she did not want to do so... realy PAINFULL and awkward moment ! especialy after these high expectations... truth must be told, at the end , she was somewhat friendlier, but nowhere near what is normal of being friendly. . given the helpfull (extremely helpfull) people at geers, hopduvel , and wijnegemse drankenhal, i would FOR SURE not include this in the toip 3 of beershops in belgium. goddamn, i would even place this top 10 . a lot of the things i askes ( maybe 5 out of 11? ) were not available . cantillon kriek ( while it was standing in the shop ??? ) , orval, 3 fonteinen oude kriek , black albert, ... not THE rarest thing , i guess... maybe i should go back another time, did i go on a bad day , maybe? anyway, i even feel this score is way to high, but i dont wanna break em down completely by a 1 tilme visit... dissapointed, though !

Small store, but they had a great selection and the prices were very reasonable. This is a must stop if you’re in the area. I’ll definitely hit this place up when back in Antwerp.

Can’t say much about the atmosphere, except that I got to browse the shelves in peace, which is all I require. The selection certainly is great, but you will have to go elsewhere to find American or Scandinavian beers. One of my all-time favorites, Struise’s Black Albert, for the lowest price here I have ever seen (by a large margin). Same goes for Pannepot. Bought 25 bottles for almost 40 €, so the prices really are very attractive. If you’re travelling from, for example, the Antwerp center (as I did), bus 427 will take you straight from the center to about 100 meters from the store. Can’t ask for a much better connection by public transport. Certainly if you are travelling by car, this place is perfect for you. I will visit Willems again, especially after someone mentioned they had seen Double Black here.

Very cozy store, pretty little surface but packed with a shitload of Belgian beers. Surprisingly a lot of beers that are not available at De Hopduvel or Geers, not only regional, but from all over Belgium. No imports though, so that’s why selection is 13. Definitely worth visiting, but a little bit in the middle of nowhere, so it’s quite the ride.

Small shop but with an amazing selection of gueuzes and hard to find stuff (e.g. 75cl Double Black). Friendly personnel and low prices. Top!
