Visited twice during the Borefts weekend late at night. Easy to find & close to Den Haag HS. Gorgeous on the inside, old style bar, lots of wood, very cozy. Talked to locals on both nights & they were oddly excited / in love with the place, assuming that I made the trip specifically to visit this place. I got someoneís olives from what looked like a pretty epic cheese plater. The selection features quite a bit of Brand beers, beers from largely solid and established but more safe breweries like Jopen, Ramses & Ďt IJ. So far so good but the prices are a big minus here. Way too high even keeping the higher prices for beer in the Netherlands in mind. Just way too much. Draft selection usually seems to feature 1 or 2 more interesting beer. Bottle menu was a bit dull & safe with a board of new arrivals which were far more interesting but a few were priced through the roof. Service was friendly & nice. It is not a super beer geek place but it has definite charm & some nice stuff but the high prices really took it down for me. They were busy on both nights so people seem to be fine with them. One of the barmen knew about Borefts but oddly asked me if it is a Bock festival. In his defense he did have a solid logic, they used to sell De Molen Borefts Bock back when De Molen still made it and Borefts apparently takes place in Bock season.

Nice cosy bar, candle lit and soft lighting inside. Tap list and bottle lists displayed around the bar area. Beer posters and old adverts around the walls. 13 beers on tap. Nice place to spend an evening.

Tucked neatly along a canal is this quaint beer cafe sporting a stained brown wooden walled interior. Behind the bar are all the bottles available from the menu or you can quietly peruse the menu (in Dutch) at your table. Many locals were engaged in conversation whilst enjoying the mostly Dutch and Belgian brews. I tried the cheese and meat mixte plate alongside my beers. Service is at the bar but it is prompt.

Visited on a Tuesday evening with some friends. Really nice atmosphere, a few people but not crowded and not too loud, really nice vintage Dutch brown cafť interior, old cozy feel. Service was quite alright, friendly guys at the bar. Prices were on the high side however, bottles of Belgian stuff were sometime massively over priced, prices of drafts are 50 cents - 1 euro more expensive than elsewhere. Tap list is interesting but not impressive, some nice local beers with mostly belgian classics on draft. Cool place to hang out, but of moderate interest for a beer.

Very cosy bar in the center of The Hague. Interesting beer list with the better Belgian and Dutch microbrews. But far too expensive. Average price is 6-8euro. Thatís too much. A pity.

Though I think this is a great pub with a fantastic selection of beer their menu seems rather set in stone. But was really dentures me from frequenting this place is that I find it just too expensive. In a shop you can buy some of these beers for a third of the price

This bar has a nice ambiance. Very good beer selection of mostly Belgian and Dutch brews, but I also noticed some US beers and a couple of BrewDogs. I had a great time at this bar.

One of the better bars in The Hague. Big selection, with quite a lot of beers on tap. Very friendly staff, and they always keep a tab for the evening for you which is nice. Not cheap, but thatís the norm nowadays. Update: the bottles are getting more and more expensive, and their taps barely rotate anymore. A pity, as itís less nice as it used to be.

I really liked De Paas - not just because it has a good draught beer selection and an impressive range of bottles (mainly but not exclusively Dutch or Belgian - I noticed BrewDog and Fullerís there too) all lined up behind the bar but also because itís a lovely place, old fashioned and full of character. Itís long and dark with windows onto a sun-dappled garden at the back. There are white tiled walls and dark wood furniture, fairy lights along the central beam, candles in bottles on the tables and heavy brass lampshades over them. It was of course inevitable that I should bang my head on one as I was sitting down. The bar is on a cobbled street next to a canal and thereís a small pavement patio outside as well as tables and chairs on a barge just opposite. The service was very friendly, the music was relaxed and - best of all - they had a "biergarten" sign just like the one Jan and Charlotte brought us as a present from Germany. All in all, a must visit place in Den Haag. (Visited 30 September 2013).

Place has a nice ambiance. Beer selection is rather poor though. The list is okay in itself, but when I orderded the more special ones, they told me they were out of stock. Owner was grumpy and seemed to blame me for asking for difficult beers. Wrong attitude for a -supposed to be- beer bar.
