Good beer and wine. | 72 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 14/20 jsquire (125) St. Marys, Ohio | February 11, 2013 This is the standard corporate brewpub themed chain restaurant. If you been to one of the BJs you’ve been to them all. Good menu of fancy sit down food. The beers are good enough. This is a good place to take non beer people. And this one actually is attached to the mall, not on an out lot. | 68 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 14/20 b3shine (180) Cincinnati, Ohio | July 20, 2012 Everything you’d expect from a franchise chain catering to the masses...which is overpriced beer and fare (although the food is much better than the beer). I won’t go back unless I happen to be in the mall. | 66 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 13/20 DrSilverworm (30) Cincinnati, Ohio | July 20, 2012 Found this place from Ratebeer, was excited to try some new brews. BJs is a franchise that serves their own beer, but it’s not brewed on location, but shipped in. I tried the IPA and the Belgian Wit - both were decent, but satisfactorily fresh-tasting - good texture. Food is good but the portions are enormous, and the price isn’t cheap. I’d recommend splitting something if you’re only kind of hungry. The server claimed to be the "beer guy" there, and he was very eager and helpful when he realized that I was a beer geek myself. Decent amount of guest taps, moderate selection of craft but nothing amazing. I was happy to see that their Rivertown seasonal was Hop Baron (DIPA), which they were serving by the pint at a pretty reasonable price. I’ll probably return a couple times to try the rest of their beers (don’t like doing sampler sets if I can avoid it) | 72 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 16/20 ADesenberg (20) Ohio | July 25, 2011 The food is very good here, the beer though is mediocre. A good place if you’re at the mall, but not my top pick by far. | 82 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 Crafty07 (11) Florence, Kentucky | December 18, 2009 Big, open corporate feel with exceptional beer in a city that needs more brew pubs.
BJ’s has excellent offerings, their kolsh, pale and nut brown are excellent and the food is great.
I’m impressed and I’m going back! | 72 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 15/20 JCW (105) Cincinnati, Ohio | May 18, 2008| Updated February 8, 2012 Corner anchor to the Tri-county mall. Big, open area ambiance sort of a cross between a Friday’s and a real brew pub. Large variety of BJ’s beers(11 on tap with a monthly special beer), most of which are better than average, worse than the rest. Its way too big to feel intimate and too much of a franchise for me to feel at home so it might be an occasional stop, but it won’t be much more than that. | 74 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 15/20 Tmoney99 (366) Cincinnati, Ohio | March 14, 2008| Updated February 8, 2012 Easy to find location in the front Tri-County Mal with good parking in front. Clean corporate inside with wood bar and tables. Brewing equipment behind glass at the end of the bar for brewing soda. Freindly service with good knowledge of selection of 12 taps. All beers average drinkable with good selection of styles. Good food menu of starters, sandwiches and pizza. I enjoyed the visit. | 70 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 4/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 15/20 AllAboutStout (30) Cincinnati, Ohio | February 21, 2008| Updated February 8, 2012 Brand new place in Cincy. Very large and open in the interior. Very well designed and nice looking. Staff is new and a little green. With some time they should be fine. Plenty of house selections on tap as well as a few guest taps. Beers are hit and miss. Some really good selections and some others that really aren’t up to par. Would like to go again to try some other beers and the food. | 76 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 14/20 bethmatt0421 (19) Covington, Kentucky | February 20, 2008| Updated February 21, 2008 Recently opened in Tri-County mall. Beer is not brewed on site, rather brought in from Chicago (from what I was told). The beer was average, dissapointed with their impy stout big time. I like the ambiance and openess of the place though, relaxing. The staff was all new hire so i couldnt really tell you how knowledgable they could be, but my server was definitely still learning about the beer. Still though she was on top of the service. Even bring the kids to this place. Overall, worth going to. Try the Nut Brown, and the Pirahna. |
