Nice and cosy pub with tasty food and a good range of local cask beers, with Flowerpots and Bowman often represented.

(Visited 24/10/2008). This pub is situated in the southeast of Winchester. There are many rooms with a odd collection of ornaments and wall-hangings. Plenty of tables and seating. The Itchen Valley Pure Gold was in good condition, but to me should have been just a touch colder. Service was a bit poor when we visited, and though they do have food here but we didn’t try it, mainly because everything we wanted they had sold out. Will try again, maybe it was just one of them days.
