I have visited this pub many times in the past, but not for the past few years. Not much as changed except for a more varied choice of ales and Belgian ales, which may have been there before but I never noticed. Good place for some pints of real ale and belgian ales that are cheaper than the specialist off licenses. you can take kids in too. More visits coming up.

CAMRA pub of the year for the last couple of years but for some inexplicable reason it’s no longer mentioned in the 2013 Good Pub Guide! It’s a huge building with high ceilings and bags of character in the centre of the town. There are 16 regularly rotating taps and a small but respectable bottled selection. Probably the premier real ale bar in Walsall and an absolute "must" on any Walsall town crawl.

cosy place. Quite big. Missed out on trying the food as they’d stopped serving. This was our last pub before the Walsall beer festival 2012. Excellent handpump selection, 16 beers and 1 cider

Owned by the Black Country brewery, this is a very big, plainly decorated boozer, with 15 handpulls. The beer selection is reasonable and the pub location is good.
