Bradleys Off-license has a wonderful selection of beer and whisky. The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable about his stock. The prices are a little high but you cannot get a lot of the stock anywhere else, you get what you pay for. High quality and highly recommended. The grocery section has a fantastic selection of artisan foods produced locally.

Bradleys has really emerged in the past few years as a genuine rival to the Abbot Ale House as Cork’s best craft beer off-licence. They have always been excellent for spirits, liquors etc, but their beer selection has been improving steadily for quite a while now.

The selection is smaller then the Abbot Ale House, but it’s far more consistent and there’s less filler. The small Irish breweries are very well represented, and there’s a surprisingly big selection of English beers. Where it lags behind it’s rival is in Belgian, American and German beers. However Mikkeller and Nogne offerings are available so there is clearly a commitment to quality European beer.
