Huge place in an old ice factory, so lots of character in an interesting restoration. Brewhouse visible near the entrance, with scattered fermenters crammed in here and there. Long wait for dinner on a Friday night, and the atmosphere we experienced was much more of a restaurant than a bar - the bar itself was empty by 9 PM. But there is a roof bar that was closed because of snow - next time! Food was tasty, young servers were very good but we didnít test their beer knowledge. Beers were tasty, with half a dozen seasonals in addition to their regular menu. I was hitting the wall with jet lag, though, so I must return when Iím wide awake and the roof deck is open.

Nice feel to the recycled building with a brick and wood interior. Two bar areas with quiet big screens playing sports and old movies, and a separate area for restaurant seating. Looked like a great outdoor patio, but it was closed for the winter conditions whilst I was there. Waitstaff knew their stuff and were great although overwhelmed at times. Excellent choices of both stylized pub grub (bone marrow, duck eggs, confit, etc.) or the traditional (fish and chips, sandwiches, pizza, etc.). The Thai mussel curry was awesome. It wasnít hard to convince my non-beer geek coworkers to eat here twice in a row. Flights on anything you want and there were 16 choices of house brews the nights I was there which were skewed towards Belgian styles, but had a good enough variety for all. I had five different pints in two nights and they were all excellent. Value is good for the quality of the fare.

probably my favorite brewery in Northern Nevada due to the quality of the beer line-up top to bottom. They do styles that usually do not draw my interest very well, as well as many variations of saisons and old world stuff. Definitely the best LOOKING brewery in Reno. Service is usually solid and the food is good, if a little overpriced.

A cool brewpub/restaurant. Two bar area with plenty of seating. Great service, great food and great beer. Nothing else to say except stop here if you are in the area.

What I liked about the Brasserie Saint James is everything. First and foremost the Beer: they had the most varied and well crafted variety of beer from a brewpub in memory. Here it is: nothing tasted off or mediocre. All above average to very good. It was a good night and I had everything from the brewery on draft - it was a pouring of 20 beers and I was not once disappointed. The Red Headed Stranger was the purported favorite but I liked Quadrophobia and The Third Man. The atmo in the main bar brewpub area was quite accommodating, but on this evening I went to the outdoor setting upstairs. The service was great there, and the food and beer came surprisingly fast. On the food front, they bent over backwards in their menu and wait staff to provide suitable fare for us freaking vegans. This is a place that I will recommend and recommend again for those traveling into Nevada. A great choice for the end of ones travels or any other time of the week.

Went here pretty much for a Nevada place rating, but it was certainly worth it. Ended up being a bit more of a walk from the downtown area than I realized, but oh well. Really nice decor and vibe to the place, servers were all very helpful and friendly. They had 12 beers on tap during our visit and had just run out of two others. There were a few misses, but for the most part the beers were very enjoyable. The food looked great, too. Lots of different styles, all pretty eclectic, so you should be able to find something you like. I guess it wasnít the cheapest place Iíve been, but not exorbitantly priced either. Certainly worth a stop.

This place is by far one of the best establishments I have ever been to. They have about 10-12 house beers on tap, which are quite diverse. A 2% table beer? Check. They offer beers in 6 ounce samples as well as various other sizes. The building itself is gorgeous, and spacious. European seating, alcolves with pool tables, plenty of outdoor and rooftop patio seating. Clean bathrooms. The food menu was breath-taking. So many awesome things on this to please even the most discerning foodie. Bone marrow? Yup. Poutine? Yup. Prices are very good, too. One of my favorite places I have ever been. Seriously.

I have been coming to Reno regularly since 1995 and this place will definitely make the trip more enjoyable in the future. Great looking bar and pub area. We didnít eat, but everything around us looked and smelled great. Very nice selection of beers that would have something for almost everyone. The bartender that served us was very pleasant to talk to and provided quite a bit of information. A must stop if you find yourself in Reno.

i think i had 8 of the house beers. None disappointed. The food was amazing. The staff made great hosts. Prices were fair for the high quality of everything. The environment was inviting. Its good to see some one get it right straight out the gate,
