A large beer hall attached to the brewery in the western suburbs. A standard range of their beers on tap and often a seasonal on too, all good quality. Worth a visit. As it was poring with rain when I visited the large beer garden was closed!

More a restaurant than a brewery, large. Crowded by locals having their lunch, which is not a surprise as prices are quite low and portions are good. They had 3 beers on tap (and bottled), tried one and purchased the others. Afterall this is lunch time. When you go down to the toilettes, you walk right into the brewery. I did not try the pilsener.

Both Helles and Dunkles were enjoyable. The food menu is interesting in that you can order many dishes in a variety of sizes. I had a Bierbrauensteak of "medium" size which consisted of two pretty big grilled pork steaks slathered with fried onions and topped with fried eggs; a large portion of Bratkartoffel completed the feast. I am a big eater but this was plenty for me. God knows what you get if you order the XXL size; it sounds like something only Texans would eat on their own. The garlic cream soup is also recommended. A bit out of the way but surely the best brewpub in Karlsruhe.
