Stop three of my Uptown tour. I have heard they get some special kegs, but I don’t see myself hanging out here on a regular day. Just not down with the hipster crowd. If you like bowling though, this is probably the only place close to have that and beer.

Friendly service, nice beer selection, good pricing all wrapped up in an eclectic space. Not my favorite... But interesting.

Great beer bar/resturant/bowling alley in uptown. Really nice beer selection always rotating. Nice vibe, I like to stop in after work sit outside and just watch Lake Street move by. Great food too. Can get crowded on the weekends, but worth stopping in any other time.

Visited August 18, 2013.

Checked this out with stlwill on his recommendation. Pretty neat set up. According to the bar back the place has been around since the 50’s and they added the bowling alley portion of it later. It’s pretty awesome that there is a bowling alley with good beer. I also love that they do events for special keg tappings at this particular bowling alley.

The tap lineup is well thought out. They had Two Hearted on tap and the new "French IPA" from New Belgium but after tasting the New Belgium beer I went with a St Lupulin from Odell’s. The bartender also gave me taste of the Blame It On The Boil sour beer from Crazy Mountain which I did not care for. Prices were reasonable and the music was good most of the time, though very eclectic with some Lead Belly and Black Sabbath but also some 80’s crap.

One of my favorite stops (if not my favorite) in Minneapolis.

I like this place. They don’t have a lot of taps but quite regularly have some rare beer on tap that other places don’t. And even though the bar area isn’t huge for some reason every time I go here I get lucky and get a seat at the bar. The food is great also. The bartenders tend to really know their beer. They also have events quite often which is very cool. I definitely recommend BLB.

Good service. Good neighbor hood and good atmosphere. Not too many tap lines, but they make it worth your time. Good food to accompany the beer. I would recommend this place.

I have lived near this place for a long time but never managed to make it there until a few days ago First, poor layout inside. The bar is too small, and with the remaining area occupied by tables, some of the servers were kind of unfriendly when I had the nerve to stand drinking my beer. The appetizer I had was ok. Selection is decent, they had a Bell’s release event when I went. Beers not on happy hour are expensive. Clear the tables out of there when you are having a busy night, and this would be a lot better place.

Cool place to hang out and have a beer or two. Nice variety of tap beers - something for every taste. Food is good, service is friendly. And bowling!
