(Visited Feb 2013) Very nice beer café in the northern outskirts of the city center, located by a square a bit out of the buzz, so you would probably not just stumble across it if you don’t know where it is. Light interior with brown wooden tables and chairs. They had up to 10 taps, with good beers but nothing I hadn’t tried before. The selection of bottled beers was quite impressive, with between 100-200 well chosen beers, some of them from Dutch micros, some of them previously unknown to me. Good selection of Belgian beers as well. Service was very friendly and efficient. Might have helped that I was the only one there for two hours on a Thursday afternoon. But the bar manager surely seemed to know what he was doing and was quite knowledgeable. Food is down to bar snacks, cheese and salamis. A bit out of the city centre, but well worth the walk. Highly recommended.

Large and sunny terrace out front, inside is spacious w/ nice white marble counters. Very nice staff. Bottles on display on the shelves, taps on chalkboard so no need to guess what’s on. Not far from the centre, but you’ll have to know where to look. Closed on mondays.

A great new beer cafe in Den Haag which has already become one of my favourite hangouts. The ambience is great and feels really homely. Great service and a great beer selection. Could probably do with a few additional draft beers, but the bottled selection is already one of the best in the city.

Wasn’t particularly busy on a Wednesday night, and even though it’s fairly central it’s a bit hidden away. Beer range isn’t bad, but could be better if the number of wisseltaps (guest beers) increased a bit, but hopefully the custom will come as this is instantly the best option in Den Haag.

This french looking cafe is situated in one of the most beautifull neighbourhoods of The Hague. The City of The Hague, Holland is one of the best kept secrets when visiting the Netherlands. Only 40 minutes by train from Amsterdam, Schiphol airport. A wonderfull historical centre, House of Parlement, Royal palaces and the beach. Cafe de la Gare is situated right in this historical centre and has the biggelt selection of beers in the city. The ambiance is great and its owners are friendly and have great passion for Beers. Best place to visit especially when the sun is shining.

A brand new beer bar located in a quiet square, yet still central location in The Hague. Pleasant interior, and outside seating on the square which seems good for a sunny day. The owners are helpful and friendly, and the initial beer selection is focused on Belgian and Dutch brews. It’s hard to really judge a bar that has only been open for a couple of days, but I look forward to seeing how Cafe de la Gare evolves over time.
