Cafe de Zaak

Popped in on a Monday afternoon, small place with a funny looking terras. They had it fenced of, think to prevent people from leaving without pay. Had a beer and left, no real attention from staff.

Not sure why a few craft beers make this a beer place. Funky and trendy coffee shops with macros on tap and a dozen craft beer bottles. No reason to come here.

Nice, busy city centre bar, 5 taps seem to be reserved for local beers. Part of the growing Utrecht scene.

Visited on a saturday afternoon, very noisy and crowded. Seems to be a bar popular with students. An okay selection of two house beers and a small variety of Belgian and local beers. I generally like the look of the place and if the weather permits you can sit outside on the spacious patio. Not bad.

Medium sized wooden bar with a large patio. Not a lot of beer knowledge, but they always had a couple of Belgian styled beers on tap. Now they serve one or two of their house brews (made by de Eem), plus some local or interesting bottles. Selection is not great, but the patio is nice, the crowd is ok and their housebeers are pretty tasty.
