66 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 14/20 Leighton (390) London, England | April 21, 2013 A pretty nice, upscale pub that seems to be frequented mostly by the well-to-do locals. They have five casks pouring, which I do like. The progressiveness of these casks is certainly wanting, but there you go. They have some entry level craft kegs, including Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, and any bar carrying this standard is pretty OK by me. The prices are average for the area, which puts them as slightly pricey by most peoples’ standards. I could come here to drink with non-beery people. | 60 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 12/20 JorgeLee (71) , England | February 17, 2013 Pleasant enough pub on the Bayswater Road. Seems to have got a bit more gentrified of late (since the night a flying pint glass whizzed past my nose) with more focus on food and the cask ale range has been beefed up a bit - they always had lots of taps but now about five casks as well. Wouldn’t travel here but if you’re in the area there are worse places to stop. |
