Oh i cant belive ive not rated this. This is now my (work)Local. there a few lunchtimes every week. 9 taps 5 changing and 4 fixed (Stewart Holy grail, Tim Taylor Landlord, Cairngorm Tradewinds,deuchers IPA). Beer always top notch. Very friendly... This is my TOP equal choice of Edinburgh bar (along with the Bow Bar) the 5 Guest Taps Change frequently, through a wide and varied selection Since my original rate way back in 2008...this place has gone from strength to strength, they have removed Landlord, and Deuchers and put in a permenent highland tap, and Stewarts Pendland, theyu have replaced Guinnes with Black Isle Porter and have an occasional range of interesting Keg beers.

Small traditional pub just a short walk from the Hanging Bat. Was so full on a Friday afternoon I could barely find a place to put down my glass. 9 cask ales, interesting selection and fairly priced. The bar staff is friendly and talkative.

A rather nice pub with a focus on Scottish ale located on Brougham St. They had Alechemy, Ayr, Stewart, Black Isle and the like on during my visit. Everything that I tried was in good condition. Staff were friendly and helpful. I can’t say there was anything unique on draft when I was there, but I certainly enjoyed my time.

Excellent pub for cask beer. It has a good selection and the beer is always in great condition. Staff are knowledgable and friendly.

Cosy next to the warm fire. Nice but limited selection, but too bad the cask of my ordered beer was empty. Friendly personel, certainly on this rainy day. Located a bit too far from the city center, but that could just an illusion due to the rain.

Another lovely pub situated in a historic building. Great selection and was happy to try some Black Isle beers here. Didn’t get a chance to eat, but was content in filling up on a few beers. During the day was nice and quiet, must get mental during the evenings. Need to return for another visit.

This turned out to be our favourite pub in Edinburgh. The church fittings are still pretty obvious, the feeling is of a grander comfort than some of the smaller pubs. The range of beers is terrific from all over the UK. We ate here too, the food being very decent. A must visit for me.

Visited this pub on the Great Graig Pubcrawl Tour 23/4-2012. This pub is a typical old corner city pub. They have a good variation on both scottish and english beers. Very friendly staff. The place can at times be very crowded, but it defently a place to visit if you go to Edinburgh. Most days they do pub food, but haven´t tried it. They do have a few bottle beers as well.
