Nice old hotel restaurant / bar which has great service and good pub food (including catering for kids) without being overly expensive or overly up its own butt. The icing on the cake is that it is the bar for the Tempest brewery, one of Scotland’s best. Four of the Tempest beers were on for the visit and I found 2 I hadn’t had before. Also, these beers were at excellent value. We need more places like this one please.

Old Borders pub just off Kelso Town Centre, good friendly relaxed atmosphere, it concentrates mainly on the Tempest beers which are brewed out the back. The beers were in excellent condition and the whole experience very pleasant, we will definitely return when we are next close enough.

the tempest elemental porter was mind blowing good. could not believe the price such great value. the food was outstanding .this place was really amazing place.
