74 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20
When I visited: Late January 2013.
What I had: CBC IPA and Bodhi Double IPA on tap, spinach and artichoke dip, orange glazed salmon, buffalo chicken pizza and white wine for the lady, key lime pie to split.
What I liked: Lively atmosphere, diverse crowd, heated patio was better than we expected, speedy and competent service, solid food when cooked, growlers to go, outstanding house beers.
What I disliked: Small draught list with no guest taps from what I could tell, had to return my undercooked salmon (second one was much better), a bit pricey compared to other places, strange hours for a brewpub as it closes at 11-12ish even on the weekend.
Would I go back? Most likely.
Overall Rating: 74

First time to CBC. Very nice server with good beer knowledge. Also quickly introduced menu specials and beer specials. Quick return with beers (a flight and a Pale Ale.) Order an app of shrimp cocktail. Very good for Ohio. Split an order of the Crab Cakes for dinner. Very good. Beer is awesome. Bought a growler of Sohio Stout. We will return next time in town.

58 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 4/10 OVERALL 12/20
Ambiance was a bit like a chain brewpub, but everyone was in nicer clothes; we felt underdressed. Good food, beers were a bit better than average, decent enough service, location was in an improving neighborhood; worth the stop for dinner.

76 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 16/20
Visited twice during a recent trip - once late afternoon on a Thursday, again around 8ish on a Friday night. Location is semi industrial, with some development creeping in across the street. Very much set up as a bar / restaurant stuck to the front of the brewery. Ambiance is pretty straightforward, bigger bar, tables around the corner towards the back. I sat at the bar both times, and the bartenders were friendly and attentive. The beers are solid (I believe they had 7 different beers on), and I had a pizza which was tasty, though certainly nothing special. Worth checking out.

not a fan of the decor of this place, very generic, reminds me of a chain... selection was good 5 regulars, but 3 one offs including 2 hop odysseys... service was helpful but the bartender totally clueless about beer other than their own... food is qulaity... worth a stop if in the brewery district

This is actually a better restaurant than a brewpub. The food is more upscale than your average bar, and I was able to get in and out quickly for lunch with a nice salad and a solid octoberfest. They have a small selection of their own beers, which are all solid if not great. They do have other beers and a full bar. It will get crowded if you show up too late on the weekends.

80 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 17/20
Nestled near the river between a junk yard and other industrial stuff, this didnít hold a lot of promise. Once inside, all is forgiven. Obviously, they will emphasize their own brews. I tried them all, most were satisfactory to good. Service was top-notch, as was the food selection the three members of my party had. Worth a short trip and/or a repeat visit.

Visited in March 2010. A modern joint that tries to look stylish but ends up feeling rather corporate and identikit. Canít say I was too taken with this place. Perhaps Friday at 5pm wasnít the best time to visit as the place was packed with after-work yuppie types, more of whom seemed to be drinking cocktails than the house beers. Yet, despite the crowds, it seemed strangely lacking in atmosphere. Unless, that is, your definition of atmosphere encompasses being surrounded by braying yuppies whose idea of unwinding after a long week at work is to yell at the top of their voices about that work so that anyone within earshot can be in no doubt how important they are (in their eyes). Coupled with that, they had only four of their beers available. To be fair, the undeniably efficient bar staff were apologetic for the shortage. So, it was four beers and away. Would I go back? Probably, if thought there were going to be beers on that I couldnít get elsewhere. But not at 5pm on a Friday.

CBC is the best brewery in Columbus, by far. Unfortunately this restaurant is not run by the same type of brain thats behind the brewery. Granted, the food is good, and they do have good beer pairing suggestions. The only thing is the selection is limited to only CBC beers and some BMC bottles. You basically know what beers are going to be here. There might only be one surprise limited run beer plus the monthís Hop Odyssey. Other than that its the flagship only. I cant totally bash the place though. The food is really great, but expensive. The beers are all very solid, especially the IPA and Hop Odyssey beers. The bartenders seem to only get mildly briefed in the beers they are selling and not many of them seem to be interested in beers. I just come here to get my growlers filled.

Nice ambiance, the place is classy and hip without being pretentious. The staff were knowledgeable about beer, which is always great, but not too prompt or reliable when it came to service. They only offer their own beers on tap, but thats nothing really to complain about. Food was great and reasonably priced (lunch). This was a nice brew pub, i will return for great specials and beers if im in the area, but its not special enough to make a trip just to visit the brewery.
