70 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 14/20 Dogbrick (561) Columbus, Ohio | December 31, 2012 (Visited 11/2012): Courtney’s bar is on Plunkett Street right off Main in downtown Killarney. Street parking is available in the surrounding area and it is in walking distance from nearby hotels.
The interior is dark with worn wood and a fireplace, and has kind of a lodge feel. The curved bar is on the left side. There is a board above the bar listing the available beers.
Courtney’s features their whiskey selection prominently but has a decent beer selection. There are around 12 taps and 50 bottles. The taps are mostly macros like Guinness, Smithwick’s and Carlsberg. However the bottled beers include some craft breweries in Ireland like Dungarvan and other options like Affligem, Duvel and Bishop’s finger.
Service at the bar was friendly.
I don’t think this place offers food.
Overall this is a decent bar to hit in Killarney. |
