66 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 13/20 t0rin0 (184) La Verne, California | March 25, 2013 Been here once. I sat at a bar downstairs. Tried half a dozen house beers and noticed a decent amount of guest beers. Had a conversation with some of the regullars and the bartender. One of them was telling me about a new brewery that some friends were going to open, never did follow up to see if that happend.
Beers were just alright but there were some other decent beers to be had on tap. Since it’s right down town there is no reason NOT to go here if you’re in the area, especially as you can walk to half a dozen places listed here on the site. | 66 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 13/20 womencantsail (390) Garbage Grove, California | February 20, 2013 Weird location. The first sign you see for the brewery is actually a few doors down from the entrance. The main room is just kind of an empty restaurant space with tables and the bar is downstairs. They had 5 house beers on and about as many guest taps. The house beers were mostly subpar. Good guest beers on, though. Service was quick and friendly. The price for a flight was reasonable, too. | 84 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 hebron_hapt (2) Hebron, Maine | April 24, 2010 This is a find, more intimate and with better beer than Downtown Brewing around the corner. I had happy hour pints - $3, couldn’t go wrong. | 66 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 13/20 beorn7676 (10) Bakersfield, California | January 24, 2010 Nice little brewery by the creek in SLO. Had their Belguim Pale Ale, tasted pretty good. They also had Firestone Union Jack on tap which i love. | 70 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 14/20 SamGamgee (182) down the whirlpool, California | November 19, 2009 Creekside is a relatively new brewpub in SLO, and they are starting with open arms to the beer geek community. Their house beers are still coming along, but are mostly solid-to-good. Friendly service and a nice little location in the middle of town. Definitely worth a stop if you are in town, and the beer is of a bolder mold than downtown brew. |
