94 Damn, was not expecting to like this place as much as I did. Some spectacular sours (even better than i expected, and you know these guys do great sours) but also great beers of other kinds (had a big boozy stout which was the best or second best beer of a trip which involved GABF).
Location itself is in a kind of foodmarket type place. You can bring in outside food and drink the delicious beer here, which you should definitely do (the BBQ place nearby did great burnt ends and beans and fries). Then just get all the beer here. Even the guest taps were great. Although there are a lot of places left to try in Denver, I have a hard time seeing a place beating this.
Superb. |
90 Located inthe large building alongside other businesses. Medium sized taproom with plenty of space to move around. 15 taps of sour/wild and few more of non sours. Bunch of bottles. Quality was excellent, tried few gems. Prices are bit steep, up to 12$ for a glass and 5$ for a taster, but IMHO worth it. I'd say this one is a must visit in Denver. |

82 Crooked Stave opened this spot in the Source right after I visited the other, smaller, older location last time, so I'm glad I got to come back and experience this one. There are about 30 taps, with everything available in full and small pours. Service is good. Prices are high. There are a ton of bottles available to go or on-site. The place itself is kind of weird, tucked in the back corner of a big, open shared work space and retail space, with a few restaurants and shops and an open atrium in the middle with a bunch of people on laptops. The parking lot out front is small, and there was a ton of construction on the street, so parking is a challenge here. I'm not sure the quality of the beer is what it used to be, but it's still good and this is still a strong recommendation for those visiting Denver. |
86 Cool spot in an interesting building. Maybe 20 taps, great service made some awesome recommendations. Lively spot on a Sunday afternoon. |
92 This is the place to get your sours on! Just outside the city in an area beginning to populate with more and more tasting rooms. Cool warehouse type building with other restaurants and shops. This should definitely be on your list if beer hopping through Denver. |

72 Bunch of great sours on tap. Crazy busy today during GABF week. |
90 Stopped here several times during GABF weekends. I like the ambiance with the brick and wood, brewing equipment, and The Source is a nice place as well with good food options. Sample sizes available. I think Crooked Stave has some of the best fruit sours in the United States. One of the largest tap selections I have seen in any brewery. This is one of the best places in Denver. |
