84 Really great selection, had a nice variety of local and less common beers, along with some older/rarer bottles. Service was good considering this is a supermarket, prices seemed really reasonable for NYC area as well. I also liked that they had a huge selection of chilled bottles. |
80 It’s a food store for Christmas sake. But if you venture into the back/left of the store you will find a beer lovers heaven! The best craft beer selection in all of Westchester! And growlers to go! Pick up some cheese while your there! |
80 Service is very good. Workers are friendly and very helpful! |
72 Most C-Towns I’m used to are crappy supermarkets that offer the usual fare of boring macro beers. This definitely isn’t the case with De Cicco’s in Scarsdale. I was surprised to find a relatively small, but good properly stored beer section that offered Lagunitas, Bear Republic, Stone, Chimay, Rochefort, Affligem and a few others. You might be wondering what a CT resident was doing in a small grocery store in lower Westchester. I grew up in Scarsdale and was on my way back from a haircut when I went in there not for beer, but for their cold cuts as they also have one of the best deli counters I’ve ever seen outside of NYC and I still ended up leaving there with a few California beers that aren’t distributed in CT (couldn’t help myself). While this grocery store isn’t worth going out of your way for, it is a great stop if you’re in the area. Whoever orders the beer there knows what (s)he is doing. |
