Itís strange to have a pub that you can only drive to. And that it is only open on Sundays. Sees off. But the atmosphere is nice and the glass fermentation tanks were cool to see. I think this is someoneís personal hobby more than a commercial brewery.

Been here about almost three decades ago when it was still De Raaf. And now recently again whenit is called de Graaf van Heumen.
Lots of memorabilia inside still reminds you of the old brewery with the lovely Witte Raaf they had and plates hanging around in de Graaf van Heumen.
Nowadays (if I am not mistaken) de Graaf van Heumen is the 3rd brewery to use this location.
The service is friendly and with a smile, the apple pie is handdmade and thus delicious, havenít had other food... The brew installation is right next to the bar, the beers are a bit strange, at least the bottled ones (light infections, more present than in their draught beers), and the place is just very cosy, old and almost breaths something medieval. The fireplace was burning the place is here and there decorated with beers (both from De Raaf and other breweries beers). Personally, I think they take good care of this place and made this place (without much work) experience me (and maybe you) like youíre in this old, cosy and historical place to enjoy a beer or two, a chat, some food and the interior.
If they only knew how to minimalise or exterminate the sauerkraut infections and maybe be a bit more extravagant with the beers/brews, this will be a place to have a look out for! And this is already a perfect place to spend a sunday afternoon!

Only visited to take away some bottles. Beautiful glass brewing kit, good service by the helpful staff. Open only on Sundays, and when I visited I was the only customer.
Brewing is done on Sundays too, when I was there the brewer was making a pilsner. When near I think this would be a perfect stop for a bicycle trip or the like.

Located on a busy road near Nijmegen. Beautiful building, in which a copper and glass brewing kit is placed. 4 taps and bottles to take away. Friendly service by a cute girl with sparkling eyes and a pony tail and the brewer. Delicious coffee and tasting glasses available for the designated driver.
