70 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 13/20 Nbtetreault (2) | November 11, 2012 Très étroit. Beaucoup de bière dont de très vieilles bouteilles (pas toujours bonnes) avec de la poussière. Le prix des produits n’est pas toujours affiché. Grosse sélection de bières. | 76 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 16/20 VT (33) Quebec City, Quebec | September 19, 2012 Small store, filled up to the roof (sometimes, through it...) with beer. Very little place to maneuver, just hope nobody else is there when you step in. It probably has THE best selection in town. However, every time I’ve been there, I had to look around to find personnel, and prices more often than not, aren’t indicated anywhere. Lots of exclusive, limited edition beers. | 68 AMBIANCE 1/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 13/20 JulienHuxley (130) Trois-Rivieres, Quebec | August 12, 2011 This place is a bit of a legend in the Quebec beer world. Maybe one of the first convenience stores to convert almost entirely to having the most possible different Quebec beers in stock. They have ridiculous amounts of everything released, and receive beers from pretty much every brewery that does bottles. This being said, the place is quite messy and not very fun to shop in. It’s dirty, there is a lot of old beer on the shelves and it is difficult to know what is fresh. A few years ago, you could dig around a bit and find treasures, but that hasn’t happened to me in a while. There isn’t anything beer-related located close to this place, so you might just be better off shopping in Quebec City. It does have everything though. | 94 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 18/20 Damico (13) Royersford, Pennsylvania | March 1, 2011 This store is like an old, small mom and pop grocery store (which it was) that is completely filled to the brim with as much beer as you can fit in this country. The aisles are tight, but that’s okay because the beer selection is the best I may have ever seen in a bottle shop!! (This is relative to what is available in Canada.) Maxime served me some phenomenal beer two years in a row at this fine establishment when I came to visit on a field trip. The service from him and his friends was amazing. He explained how the 2 owners have just brought in the best selection of beer in the country making it impossible to spend less than $250 at this wonderful place. | 80 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 17/20 superbuck88 (1) , | December 23, 2009 One of the best place around Quebec City to buy special beers. | 70 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 14/20 LadySusan (99) Ste-Therese, Quebec | January 13, 2008 This place has a good choice of beers but not what they advertise. The owner was very nice and helpfull, but the place is to small and crowded. (21e rating d’établissement) | 86 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 15/20 rsans (4) Pont-Rouge, Quebec | December 23, 2005 No need to repeat what has been said in the other two ratings made to date. I can only add that Danny the owner and his right hand man Guillaume seem to be quite knowledgeable and most helpful when it comes to craft beers. Danny is the one who slowly and gradually introduced me to the wonderful world of craft beers. Some of my friends are also starting their “journey” to this store. This “dépanneur” store may not be the most fashionable place around but I go in there for one reason only : craft beers. And my needs and requirements as a customer are being met. | 78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 13/20 Goldorak (114) Montreal, Quebec | August 21, 2005 This place isn’t for claustrophobics. It’s wall-to-wall Beer, jam-packed everywhere. As you walk in, one of the staff asks if you’d like to try something out. Today they were featuring Riva’s Beers, so I went for a Straffe Hendrick brune.
If it’s legal for sale in Québec, and if it isn’t retired, chances are they have it. And if it’s retired, ask Dany, the owner, to show you the goodies he’s got hidden behind the cigarettes, you might find something good. They had plenty of Edition 2004 left, and regular bombers were 3 for 13$, a good deal. And note to ClarkVV: This place is the real swill heaven. Watch out for quality, with this amount in stock, a lot of brews may have been sitting there for a long time. And prices vary wildly. The special edition Fin du monde bottles were 44$, I bought mine for at least 10 bucks cheaper.
