The outside isnít much to look at, but thatís not why I go to beer stores. I go because of whatís on the inside - and thatís what counts, damn it. I canít comment on the liquor, and/or wine selection, but I will say, I was pleasantly surprised by the rather large, diverse beer selection that they have available. The new beer guy was gladly telling me about all of the new arrivals, what they anticipated getting, and what they had on tap. The website gives seemingly random updates on their new arrivals (Iíd like to see something more consistent), but does have a current tap list, so you know what to expect, prior to arriving, as far as taps are concerned. I will say that if you give this place a chance, you wonít be let down. I think thereís room for improvement, especially in the import realm, but as far as domestic craft goes, theyíre getting better and better by the week. Their prices seem to be a touch lower in a lot of cases, when compared to some other downtown locations, but there have been a few instances where Iíve noticed relatively higher markups. With that, I think this is a pretty good store; I wonít say great, but I believe it has the potential. If youíre from out of town, itís definitely worth your time. If you live here, itís worth a stop, but at this time, nothing to go out of your way for.

I saw an annoying banner ad on the seattle times site for this place advertising 750 different beers. I did a double take since i dont live too far away and remember this as a small dreary state liquor store. Sure enough the front of the store is the same but they opened up a huge space in the back full of beer and wine. A very surprising and quite impressive collection of beers. One thing that stood out was the abundance of Stillwater and Evil Twin beers. Big selection of West coast craft beers. Almost everything offered as a single too. Prices were fair to the higher side. On par with the Whole Foods and Met Market nearby. Selection here is much bigger. They had about ten taps for growlers. The had Boneyard RPM for 11.99, great divide fresh hop for 18, and some other somewhat interesting beers from 9 to about $20. Lots of floorspace, hardly any customers, and a location in no manís land. I would suggest changing the name to something more interesting and indicative of the treasures inside. I hope it survives.

A nice selection the staff was very helpfull. Prices were pretty good and I would have to say the best thing was the free parking right infront of the store. Easy in and easy out.
