Went into this shop and was amazed at the selection. The shop does not look like much form the outside, but inside there is beer everywhere. Looked around for 5 minutes then asked the owner or help. He immediately pointed out their best selections to drink now, cellar and other rare offerings.
He helped me look through the store and allowed me to choose what I wanted. Once I got to the front he offered me rare beers from the cooler that were not available to browsers. This included several special barrel offerings not available elsewhere
When I come back to Texas I will visit this place again. Hopefully to bring and trade Wisconsin beer.

A unassuming corner store jam packed with beer. Owner is nice and took me on a tour, showing me highlights. After a brief discussion, offered some from his stash in the back. Prices are higher than than SPECS, but I was happy with to support him. There was a food truck outside, so food is there as well

Decent place that looks like a convenience store, but has a very nice selection of brews from all over the country and the world. At least 100-200 to choose from. Lots of local stuff, too. The guy running the place was very helpful and accommodating.

D&Q is located on the southwest side of Houston on Richmond Ave, right off the Southwest Freeway. There is a small parking lot and street parking nearby.
The store is laid out like a convenience store, brightly lit, small and somewhat cramped. The beer is located along the rear in coolers and on some shelves. There is also glassware in the back.
The beer selection consists of a couple hundred brands including Texas breweries like Jester King, Southern Star, Karbach and Ranger Creek. Other domestic craft brewers like Boulevard and Alaskan, plus some imports.
Service at the shop was friendly and somewhat knowledgeable.
Overall this is a good store to visit in the Houston area.

So Iím in town this week and had to find the best bottle shop. Closed on Sunday, but I made another trip today. This place does not disappoint. There is a great selection of beers from around the world with lots I canít get back East. Super friendly service and I will definitely be back next time Iím in town.

Really cluttered and disorganized. I would have bought more stuff more than likely but is was hard work going through all the aisles over and over. They do have some good beer though

Pretty nice store, not sure it is worth the rating, but nice nonetheless. Great selection of Texas beers, plus a smattering from all over the world. I picked up some nice imp. stouts as well as two new countries. Maybe it is just hard to find a great bottle shop in Houston, but with this rating I expected to find some A-list beers such as Cantillon, 3 Fonteinen, Fantome, De Molen, Struise. None of the above.

A nice surprise. Looks to be a typical liquor store, but once in side you see an amazing bottle selection as well as even some taps for growlers. Seem to get a few things that are not available around town. Prices are great and service is solid.

Just an update to say the growler fills are on hold -- hopefully a temporary situation. Thank Texasí wacky liquor laws.
How is D&Q not already in the database here? From the outside it looks like any other independent convenience store but inside is an awesome beer mecca.
On price and overall selection they canít compete with the much better known Specís Warehouse but unlike Specís they sell just about everything they carry as singles and rare items tend to stay on the shelves a bit longer. Also a huge selection of pint and other branded beer glasses.
Itís also only a couple miles from Specís so after browsing and bulk-buying there, swing by D&Q for a few oddities and a couple BYO 6-packs.

Best bottle selection in town. Lots of singles and harder to get bombers. Good selection of glassware as well. Friendly staff.
