Basically on the bridge as soon as off the water, this spacious well luminous pub has a wide selection of craft kegs, including several sours from Northern Monk, Tiny Rebel, Chorlton. Focus is on UK craft. Interesting selection with some latest releases and possibility of thirds. Several ticks on my odd visit, ok value and food menù more interesting than most craft beer pubs in London. Will return when in the area.
Quite a nice place in terms of the interior and it’s good to have a decent beer place in this part of the city. A good selection of beers can be found here and it’s well worth visiting if you’re in the area.
Mostly some harder to find lagers on tap, anything in bottle is extortionate, and other taps seem a bit random and very overpriced. They have thirds available but I suspect this is because they’re so damn expensive! Alright pub but really wouldn’t go out of my way to go here, not really beer destination.
Decent modern pub with a reasonable beer range. Food is good and burgers and hot dogs are the offerings.
Always pick up something new here. The beer is decent quality, staff are friendly.
It’s not a world-beater but it’s handy at the end of the Bermondsey beer mile.
"Semi" large pub with a lot of open space. Located on a street corner close to Tower bridge. So it atracts a lot of tourists. Quite decent beer selection.
Will surely visit this place again. But not any favorite pub.
Visited around 2pm on Saturday 3rd January 2015.
Medium sized street corner bar on the approach to Tower Bridge, with a separate dining room to the side/rear.
Green leather corner sofas, mix of high and low seating, nice wall paper on the way to the loos !
The place was fairly busy, 3 out of 4 tables taken, but plenty of room for us to bag one for our group.
Clientetle a mix of young urbanites mized in with ’bridge’ tourists. About 4 or 5 cask lines and a dozen keg lines and an OK bottle list, decent enough choices but based on this visit DH Charlotte has a better range.
Service was prompt and friendly, quite a few staff behind the bar, no danger of waiting.
Decent enough stop if in the area but no go to venue.
Rating 78 Oct ’14. With our latest visit the beer choice has improved on both Keg and Cask fronts, reflecting the increased buying power I suppose. There was a friendly atmosphere in there and the Staff were extremely helpful. An enjoyable visit. Rating 63 Feb ’12. It looks a little dubious from the outside, but opens up inside to quite a comfortable area. Handily placed for Tower Bridge, it does seem to avoid the worst of the tourist hordes from what we could see. Intersting range of beer, if only on the keg side, the cask beers were a touch disappointing. A good place to visit and we would return.
