Comments: Gigantic tap list is posted on four separate flat panel monitors with a well designed, diverse list with many local offerings along with super fresh kegs of local pilsners including a bomb keg of Real Ale Hans Pils that was by far the best beer of my 14 day roadtrip along I-10. Proper glassware and proper temperature. Great pours with proper head. Lots of attention to detail that I appreciated. Beer garden outside was beautiful with string lighting and picnic benches. Really loved this place and cannot recommend it enough.

This place was slammed, and it was 4p on a sunday. Line moved quickly though. Nice wood work and pub feel. Solid beer selection. Seemed like there was 60+ taps. Electronic beer menu. Nicely priced as well. I would have rate higher with food and if they would have had their own beers on tap while we were there.

Large place a bit north of town. Plenty of lot and street parking. You queue right at the front door, and there was a constant line the whole time I was there. But they’ll also serve you at the bar, so that’s where I sat. Draft list is extensive and creative. A very worthwhile stop.

First drank here in 1971: a Watney’s Red Barrel ( I remember as being the same color as an orange crush) which was horrible, but this is STILL my favorite place to drink in Austin. Probably always will be.

Visited October 2011.
This was a late night stop. Even late at night it was very busy. They have a very large tap list with some good stuff on the list. Actually I found very little that I hadn’t tried already but I did enjoy some Rodenbach Grand Cru, which is something that we hadn’t had in LA in at least a couple of years. Inside at the bar was noisy and busy, and also very dark. Not a bad atmosphere but outside at the picnic tables was more enjoyable. I’ll stop in again if/when I go back to Austin.

This place has a great interior and a small beer garden as well. It has a wide selection of taps and bottles with staff that know what they’re talking about. The only downside is that it can get fairly cramped on the weekends, so parking and sometimes seating can be difficult.

The Draught House is fantastic. The beer selection is broad and deep; that their house-brewed beer is exceptional is icing on the cake. This past fall Josh brewed a run of Saissons that rivaled the belgian Saissons which is no small feat! The crowd is great and is there for the serious business of hanging out with their friends and drinking great beer, rather than trying to be part of a "scene". The bartenders know their beer forwards and backwards, and while they can be a bit gruff when busy, they are all great to talk to when the rush ends. Great beer garden and rotating food trucks complete the good times. Do not expect to win a tee shirt for drinking x amount of beer or some kind of goofy beer passport. Your reward is getting great beer for a fair price with great people.

An Austin favorite, it’s always hopping. This tavern has lots of indoor and outdoor seating with a great historic look, superb beer selection and food trailers nearby

Fun stop on a Friday night in TX. Parking is a bit hard to get. Massive selection of draft beers, but it can be hard to really decipher what exactly is on tap. Service was decent. Good atmosphere. Slightly annoying that the pass through between the pub and the patio is a one way door. I’d definitely be there pretty frequently if I lived in the area.

Stopped in for a drink late on a Friday night. Old Alpine-style building and woody old world interior. Flat screen menus above the bar were allegedly new and seemed a little out of place. But it does make ordering easier since you have to do it at the bar and the line goes straight back to the door. We sat outside on the large patio. Crowd was mostly out there. Nice people. No house food that I saw but daily food trucks outside. People tailgate here for some reason. Odd but funny and cool, I guess. I’d like to come back and drink more and hang out at the bar when it’s empty. I’d visit here if I were you and visiting Austin.
