DuClaw Brewing - Arundel Mills

No Longer In Business

Another DuClaw heard from, this one in a huge mall in Arundel Mills. At least inside you don't KNOW you are in a mall, but it is a bit depressing. They had a mix of their own taps and guest beers, flights of four available. I had a flight as well as a mediocre Cuban. Eh.

Beer bar in a bigass mall. Quiet little bar area tucked away from the restaurant part. Kinda dim, dark walls and ceiling. Couple TV's. Fairly quiet. Waitress was nice, attentive. food was just okay. I had the beer pretzel and my buddy had a burger which he thought was kinda small but tasted okay. Dew of their own beers but about half were guest beers. It's not exclusively DuClaw any longer. Guess they sold this venue like they did the original in Bel Air. Beers were decent, service was good and the pisser was clean. Prices were fairly fuckin outrageous. $7.50 for a pint, wtf? Oh sorry, it was happy hour so it was only $6.50! wtf? Wouldn't go too far outta my way for this joint. We just happened to hit the Bass Pro Shop that day and stopped by for a pint and a bite.

Nice enough craft beer restaurant offshoot of a pretty decent Maryland brewery. Of course good luck finding parking at Arundel Mills! They seem to have most of the regular as well as specialty beers you’d find at the brewery. The food is decent enough (only had the appy’s). Nice outside courtyard...for a mall of course...lol! Nice stop if at the mall or close by...but not for a special trip...save that for the brewery.

Well I guess I was lucky because I got a waiter who was really into craft beer. We sat at a table on the side near the mall because our two young sons were with us. Still, had good food and beer.

Back for the first time in a while, and fairly disappointing. No tap list provided, had to rely on a waitress who was supposed to tell me what beer I wanted based on what style I like. And then she didn’t know what was on tap and came back twice with regrets about not having a beer I requested. The beer I got was fine, but based on the receipt one time it wasn’t even what I ordered. Given the prices not providing much value, mall ambiance, and now this, I don’t expect to return.

Been here a few times to meet up with friends in the area. Decent sized bar area with a dining area separated in the next room. Service was friendly enough on my visits. Good selection of DuClaw’s beers on draft. Food is mostly pub fare, kind of hit or miss. Kinda pricey. Don’t know if I’d go out of my way fighting through mall traffic but an okay stop if you’re meeting friends or need something else in the mall.

Been here a few times over the years. Decent place to get a DuClaw brew and your standard chain restaurant style food (burgers, fries, Caesar salad, etc.) Staff has always been friendly and accommodating. Down side is Arundel Mills, unless you are Walter White you are going to want to park close and have your wits about you when traversing the parking lot and mall.

Sports barrish atmosphere with very friendly service. Nice 5 oz option for the tickers...no guest beers but lots of Duclaw options. Didn’t eat but the menu looked like it offered lots of tasty sandwiches.

Its nice place but in a mall. Decent selection. Nice server.
