The Eagle is a nice pub, and apparently one steeped in history. The interior is quite homey, with lots of little rooms and alcoves. The beer selection is, for the most part, unexciting, containing a variation of bitters and golden ales. The bartender was friendly, the prices average or slightly higher. I didn’t eat any food here, but it looked and smelled good. It was fun having a drink in such an old, renowned pub, but the beer is really not this place’s focus. Probably worth a quick stop if you are visiting Cambridge; the location is convenient.

Es un pub antiguo muy cerca del King college. Siempre hay gente y a veces es dificil conseguir un sitio. En alguna sala hay chimenea y es muy agradable.

The front bar is nothing special but The RAF Bar behind is worth visiting. Itchen Valley “1966” England Expects 4,1% (2010).

Famous old pub in the middle of Cambridge. Great building with lots of cool stuff and decoration, quite big, full of tourists doing the Cambridge thing. Gets a bit impersonal when rammed, but several caskales on tap (shame it’s Greene King). Food ok standard pub grub.
