66 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 3/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 13/20 Humulone (10) Torino, Italy | March 21, 2012 Large supermarket with Italian quality food. Good beer selection from all Europe, super selection of Italian craft beers, often on tap in the basement canteen. Ask for a quickly-refrigerated bottle chosen from the shelf. Not cheap | 66 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 3/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 10/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 simoneruffa (4) , | September 29, 2011 Eataly is a supermarket of tipycal and selected italian products. Beer is just one of many products sell there. So, like every supermarket, the service is not excelent. Perhaps there are a good choice of italian beer and the price are good. | 80 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 beercurieux (7) , Italy | September 3, 2011 Good choice of beers but you have to be informed as service doesn’t seems to help in choosing. Prices are acceptable accordingly to quality offered. Worth a visit. | 74 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 sergiofos (14) , Italy | November 25, 2010 tante birre piemontesi ed anche straniere ,prezzi discreti personale non molto preparato | 76 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 7/15 FOOD 10/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 Forcina (68) Bellinzona, Rome, Brussels, Switzerland | October 11, 2010 Esperienza deludente, speriamo che a New York sia meglio. | 72 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 16/20 Pyobon (27) Sydney, Australia | September 24, 2010 Eatlay is not specifically a beer store. It is a very large fine food hall. It hall many different departments and many counters at which you can also eat. One of the departments is for beer. It has an excellent selection of beers from Italy (although I am no expert on Italian beer) and a good selection from around the world. It is very difficult to get a seat at the counter in the beer department and when you do the service is slow (but maybe not by Italian standards) but friendly. The beers listed as alla spina (on tap) on the blackboard were apparently unavailable (I say apparently because I speak no Italian and the waitress had a similar competence in English). So I had a very nice beer, but was unsure exactly what it was! I ate at a few other departments during my stay and they also had interesting bottled beer, as well as excellent food and friendly but slow service. There is also a little restaurant that I have yet to visit. It is well worth a visit, especially if you like good food, but don’t expect a bar, brew-pub or beer-store. |
