Finally managed to make a trip down to Warwick and Chester to visit some cideries and the new brewery (Rushing Duck) that opened up. A bit smaller than expected, and classier than expected given it being called a roadhouse. The bar seats about 12, and there’s table seating for close to 30 on top of that. Saturday evening at 5 the place was at about half capacity and there was a nice warm friendly vibe. Taplist when I stopped in was Chimay Cinqcent, Anchor Christmas, Mad Elf, Bear Republic Heritage, Ommegang Duvel Rustica, Green Flash friendship, Ovisholt Lava, Old Rasputin. Nice selection, but lacking in anything really sessionable. Menu is definitely geared toward meat enthusiasts and I had a bit tougher of a time than I feel I normally do finding something to eat. A couple of the appetizers, most of the salads, and one of the entrees are vegetarian friendly. Lots of options for steaks though, and neat little sliders. It appears they do samplers, but unfortunately no half pours. Really rough with a selection of only higher ABV beers. As I had to drive and couldn’t justify drinking a second big beer I had to pass on anything further.
