Long room with a big old wooden bar with a tile mirrored barback, some benches in back and lots of tables. Focused and interesting beer list and menu. Beers on tap were a unique blend of US and international. Great food, good service.

This place is a mix of old German beer hall with some modern metallic touches; reclaimed wood tables balanced by dark metallic chairs, for instance. There is a "man-cave" portion with darts and a nice size TV- the main dining area is without TV (if that matters to you). Service was polite, helpful and not too helicopter-ish. Selection of beer is a very nice mix of about 25 on tap beers; some local (Country Boy, ATG) and with a variety of styles, by country and type. Food was awesome; portions were great (not too big or small)- the mushroom bisque was very nice and goat cheese crepes were a wonderful second course. Some of the prices (food) are maybe slightly high, but I’d gladly pay them again. Beer was very fair in price. Worth many returns.

Went on a Wednesday night with my wife. Parking in on the street and may be challenging. Atmosphere is nice rustic. Service was good, I was sucking down the waers and she was on it. They did not have a sampler on the menu, however I explained the concept to the owner and she made it happen. The selection was nothing special, however they did have several I had not tried before. All of the selections I saw were draft, so I don’t even know if they have a bottle selection. The rabbit was good and the peach cobbler is phenominal. My wife likes this place even more than me, so we will likely be back.

25 beers on tap, great food, nice neighborhood, stumbling distance to the Nachbar, awesome service, hip ambiance... Just go there and see it for yourself. This place beats the crap out of the other trendy restaurants that the east end collar poppers tend to invade. Food is worlds apart from the others in Louisville.

Love the place! All of their beers are craft/imports with the exception of Stroh’s. the variety is notable as well though the quantity is limited. Food is German heavy and the ingredients as local as it can get. Portions are light, but very tasty. Fairly pricy but it’s worth it. Staff is young and knowledgeable. Again, love the place!
