60 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 6/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 15/20 jrallen34 (271) Chicago, Illinois | March 3, 2013 Great concept that appeals to the correct crowd, people just like me who grew up on video games and like good beer. They frequently change out the games, not allowing things to get stale and they only cost a quarter per play. When it first opened the tap list was great pulling some harder to find kegs. Recently, they have really dumbed down the list. Games are cool but if there is nothing of substance to drink, I’m not going to attend. Please bring back the good stuff! | 86 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 18/20 putdatinurpipe (6) , | December 15, 2012 This could be the coolest place in wicker park! The atmosphere is unmatched and the service is great. Not too hipster, not too upscale either. Amazing tap selection! Mostly microbrews and local beer, this is no place for a bud light. | 76 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 15/20 NobleSquirrel (200) Chicago, Illinois | October 2, 2012 Finally had a chance to stop in for some gaming and beers. Pretty big bar, kind of a Chicago version of Barcade. All games are $.25 a play and they have most of the classics. Beer prices are pretty solid and selection is pretty broad. Definitely a must hit spot in south Wicker Park. And you can bring in your own food. | 70 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 15/20 drdisque (28) Illinois | August 24, 2012 Interesting little beer bar with lots of vintage arcade games and a good rotating draft list of American microbrews+PBR. Very good prices. Barware consists of just pint glasses and 10 oz snifters, which can be good and bad (good in that you can get a pint of many beers they would pour you less of if given the proper glass, bad in that it’s not the proper glass). All arcade games are a $0.25 token available from a machine next to the bar. Bartenders seemed knowledgeable. Ran out of one beer when I was there and quickly replaced it with another rather than simply shutting down that tap. Worth checking out. |
