| 74 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 solidfunk (100) Ontario | November 18, 2012 Wandered into this place by accident after eating at Schwartz’s for a roadpop. Only got one beer for a long walk to St. Denis but there was a ton of selection here. Lots of DDC, Charlevoix, LTM, Simple Malt, Dunham, Unibroue, and mostly everything else you could want in Montreal without rarities like Trou du Diable. Lots of other less known micros as well. Prices are about $3 for singles - and there’s a big selection of those. | 60 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 7/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 12/20 left_bank (25) , Japan | September 9, 2012 on the main;could not be in a better location.
the owner is nice and likes to chat about beer.store is clean and easy to walk through.the problem with this store is that the craft beer selection is just way too small.i get the feeling the the owner has not yet decided to commit to selling que craft beer and is waiting to decide with the limited stock he has in the store! | 88 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 1/10 VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 17/20 cperk88 (1) , | July 10, 2012 Very solid selection of beer: if its a micro brewed in Quebec it’ll be at this depanneur in singles, six packs, or 500/750 mL bottles. The owner is super nice and clearly appreciates good beer.
So if your in Montreal and want to get quality beer, I definitely recommend going here.
| 86 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 17/20 Lukaduke (42) Portland, Maine | April 25, 2012 Ended up parking in front of this shop on my way to hit up Schwartz’s Deli for a smoked meat sandwich on my way out to go back home from a weekend in Montreal. Was pleasantly surprised with the selection of singles and the prices. There were empty 6pks to fill and lots of selections from Dieu du Ciel Brasseurs de Monde and many many more... Im not to well versed in Canadian crafts. There was also a nice selection of glasses and I ended up snagging a Dieu du Ciel glass that I failed to pick up when we were visiting their brewpub. Anyhow the owner was very friendly and spoke very good English... he used to live down in Cambridge MA. Nice store in a great location if your hitting up some local food spots for lunch in Montreal ! | 70 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 1/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 14/20 JoeMcPhee (466) Toronto, ON, Ontario | May 26, 2011 A fairly large corner store with the majority of the store devoted to beer. At least four to five deli-cases full of singles as well a walk-in for larger case amounts. It’s new (opened in the last six months) and so it’s still nice and clean inside. The owner was pretty friendly and definitely enjoyed chatting about beer (even though I was in a rush to catch my train). The selection is solid with a good representation of Quebec micros in the store. The attention to cold storage is a plus since there are often bottling issues with bottled product from some micros. I don’t often get to many of the Montreal depanneurs, but I think this one is worth checking out. |
