The new facility offers up large space for dining with a lot of tables well spaced throughout. One end of the building is a long narrow bar with it’s own exterior entrance in case you’re interested in just grabbing a quick beer or growler fill. Between the dining area and bar was a large room that can be rented out for private parties. Good servers who came by often despite how busy they were. Food was good with some safe choices along with some more unique offerings. Beer offered were basically all house beers along with room for 1 or 2 guest beers. Enough taps however to allow them to feature their core lineup along with a handful of seasonal choices. | 78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 15/20 BeerandBlues2 (457) Hanover, Maryland | December 16, 2012 This is a much larger facility than their original location in Delmar, DE. A large gravel parking lot greats patrons in front of the shiny tin siding building. We entered through the bar and were quickly whisked away to a table in the dining room whilst a band set up near the bar/kitchen walkway. While the walls are cinder block, that actually adds to the atmosphere in this urban/industrial/new age gastropub. Roughly 12 Evolution Craft Brewing beers were on tap accompanied by a single Flying Fish beer. The food was quite tasty and reasonably priced; the menu is short and to-the-point so you do not have to fight pages of uninteresting food to find the one plate you are most willing to eat. Our server was mostly attentive, though she only took two of the four drink orders whence she first graced our table. As dinner completed, we eased out through the new tasting room, again about twice the space of the old one, still adorned with beers silently sleeping in barrels, patiently waiting their turn to be bottled. | 80 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 beachbum25 (67) Powellville, Maryland | November 16, 2012 New home to Evolution Brewing since their move from Delaware. Full Production Brewery w/tours & a seperate tasting room, as well as Salisbury Md’s first "Gastro Pub"-as they bill themselves. Only craft beer available here, all the latest EVO stuff & a few guest taps to fill out the lineup. Food is quite good, some can be a little fancy but there are plenty of good basic choices as well. These folks know how to run restaurants, they had 4 in the area before they ever started brewing beer. Can be a little pricy, but they have happy hour specials, NFL specials, NFL ticket.... Outdoor dining area, sometimes have entertainment on the weekends. This place used to be an Icehouse so they have their own fresh water spring for water to brew the beer & serve in The Public House! Try the water.....not something you would usually say in a review! |
