76 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 tdtm82 (73) , England | May 30, 2013 An impressive classic pub with a great busy vibe. Absolutely gorgeous architecture and a good, modern pub interior to boot.
The vibe was loud and vibrant but the staff were very attentive. Myself and Danko got served efficiently. The beer range was good but I felt it required some work on keg.
Having two Tocalmatto’s on keg was a bonus, something I hope will occur prominently thanks to Atlas. The food was the real highlight. Their house burger was £10 and cooked perfectly.
Forget the more expensive cool burger chains around, this place was a cut above for burgers and chicken wings. Now if only they could get a few better beers in then it would be a regular visit for me.
The Antic pub chain has been setting some good standards lately and this testifies that competency.
I will be back and will definitely make commitments to visit the other Antic pubs. | 56 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 2/10 OVERALL 8/20 b727trijet (201) Isleworth, England | May 14, 2013 Been here a few times as usually a good choice of beers, cask and keg. Always thought a bit expensive. But on the 7th May 2013 I nearly walked out when charged £2,10 for a half of cask bitter that was only 3.8% abv. Later I saw the menu confirming the rip off price and the same beer was £4,10 a pint. I shall not be returning, pity as I like the pub and area. | 76 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 jackl (215) London, England | March 3, 2013 Nicely refurbished old school boozer on Exmouth Market. Lovely tiled exterior. Plenty of wooden tables to congregate around. Low-lighting, some strange art on the walls. Comfortable ambiance. The service was decent, efficient, friendly. The selection’s quite solid indeed. 16 beers on keg. No crap. Loads of ’crafty’ options from Camden etc. Some limited Brooklyn beer was on too. The 4 casks were nicely diversified. Beers from Redwillow and Hawkshead featured. There’s about 50 bottled beers available. Solid stuff, but nothing outrageous. The food’s excellent. My burger was cooked competently, the ingredients seemed fresh and of good quality. The roasts looked tasty. The value’s fine. Overall, a really nice option that’s worth a look-in. | 76 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 16/20 mbc (8) Leicester, England | October 30, 2012 Refurbished pub with ornate tiled frontage now majoring on craft beer. Well worth making a detour to. | 70 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 6/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 14/20 wallco (1) , England | June 18, 2012 Great concise range of bottles with a broad selection that is a greatest hits of craft beer.Mikeller,Sierra Nevada even Dogfish Head! also Goose Island for £4 and Nogne 500ml for £7 can’t be beaten. A place with good music and mixed crowd that you can spend a night in without being a beer geek or a millionaire. Taps included most of the Camden range and bits from out of town like Anchor bock and Odells Cuthroat porter. A hidden gem over shadowed by Craft round the corner |
