When I visited: Late summer 2012. What I had: East End Big Hop Harvest Ale (cask), Yards General Washington Tavern Porter (draught), Fat Head’s Head Hunter IPA (draught), The Duck-Rabbit Brown Ale (draught), South Side Slopes headwich. What I liked: Bustling approachable atmosphere, friendly patrons, massive well-organized beer list, efficient and welcoming bartenders, delicious world-beating sandwiches, great retail store upstairs, mind-blowing IPA. What I disliked: Aside from having to wait a few minutes for our seats, nothing really. Would I go back? Definitely. Overall Rating: 94

How I missed going to this place eludes me. On the South Side with cheap parking just across the street. A ton of taps, all solid craft beers. Loads of Fat Head’s stuff, maybe 10. A small expensive bottle shop upstairs. The food looked great, I didn’t partake. Lively, good service and relaxed. A great place. The bartender offered a few samples as well.

Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. Parking is payed across the street. Wasn’t too busy, despite the Steelers game being on TV. Walked in and was seated immediately. 42 beers on draft. Don’t think they had a bottle menu. If they did, I never saw it. My burger was delicious, Southside Slopes, highly recommend it. The homemade potato chips were very good as well. Service was quick, attentive, and friendly. The beer was very good, I stuck to the Fat Heads stuff. If you get the chance to stop in here, I would highly recommend it. You won’t be let down. The bottle shop upstairs had a nice selection of around 75 to 100 bottles. If you buy them individually, you’ll get ripped off. However, if you build a 6 pack, you get a $12 discount, which evens things out a good bit. This part is still pretty pricy.

Great tap selections, rotating often. The bottles up stairs are of good quality but not much selection. The food is where this place is at. It’s worth a check in.

Visited on a Sunday afternoon just before a Steelers game and sat outside on their heated and covered patio. Great and friendly service from Sara. Very good selection of drafts, including about a dozen from their own brewery which is tied to their Cleveland location. Particularly liked Head Hunter IPA and the Double Dry Hopped Sunshine Daydream IPA. The food we had was tasty and a good value for the price. We’d happily return the next time we’re in Pittsburgh.

Visited with friends a few years back. One among many of food-beer theme bars in the US. Located in the busy festive Pittsburgh area. Decent draft and craft beer selection with delicious menu of again, pub food but just great burgers and sandwiches ... after all this is Pittsburgh and yes, the place was insanely crowed when we got there. .

I just love the city of Pittsburgh as a whole. Great ambiance of an historic steel town wherever you go. Lots of beer paraphernalia on the walls to keep you always occupied. Best part is Rogue makes a beer especially for this place for which I was very privileged to try. Great service, nice staff even at the gift shop. Take out selection generally includes anything they serve on tap. So if you try it and like it you can take it home...bonus! The food was really good maybe a lil pricey depending on if you get a real dinner or just your usual burger and fries. Portions are quite big though. I will definitely be going back to this place whenever I’m in town.
