82 Located in a strip mall. Nice open space with indoor and outdoor seating. ~15 beers on tap, plus about 5 guest beers. Service was good. |
80 Big fan of this place. 17 beers on, cheap flights. Beers are good. Cool vibe. |
78 Visited on a Saturday mid afternoon. Located in a bit of a strip mall. The place has the feel of a chain restaurant brewery, but the beer offered definitely was not like one of those. Great service throughout my visit. I ordered flights of four to try all the ones that interested me. For food, the menu was actually fairly eclectic. I had shrimp ceviche, and it was quite good. Overall, a neat place that is making great beer. I would definitely visit again. |
76 Another strip mall joint in PHX which disappoints from the outside, but actually ends up being a fine experience once inside. Well renovated bar with a comfortable feel. Efficient, seemingly knowledgeable staff. A large array of taps with varied, mostly American styles, many pale ales. None of their top rated offering were on draught during my visit, but I still ended up liking most of what I drank there. Not having been to the other Fate, this appears to be the one with the better selection, but perhaps the neighborhood and architecture of the South Fate would have been more impressive. It may not be the overhyped treasure it was rumored to be, but this remains a very worthy stop in the area. |
76 This is the one at Shea and NOT adjacent to Papago. Using the bus, it was not easy to find this modern small establishment. Well run by efficient bar staff. Good selection of their own beers and some guests added to the relatively small list. Big on Pizzas. Great crowd of locals. The sports tavern 30m down the road attracts the less choosy beer drinkers. Well worth dropping in if in the area. |

88 Beautiful place...great décor and vibe for a craft brewery. Above average beers...not amazing or anything...but very decent and certainly worth a visit (actually probably better than I’m suggesting as I’d previously spent a few days in San Diego). I liked the Shift Pint Session IPA and the APA was pretty good too. The Double Oatmeal IPA was good but didn’t quite live up to my expectations being an oatmeal in craftbeer lover. I think a lot of people would love the Candy Bar Milk Stout...it was very good...but too sweet for me to drink more than a taster (I’m a hop head after all...lol!). Fate Brewing is a must stop when in Phoenix...and a great 1-2 punch with the adjacent Papago Brewing. |
88 Despite the unimpressive strip mall ambiance, this is a GREAT place -- excellent beer lineup, delicious food, and the most pleasant service I’ve had in Arizona. Definitely worthy of its place among top Phoenix beer destinations. Brewery #722. |
86 This was probably my favorite place on this short AZ trip. Small strip mall location, just two TVs with no sound (yay) and good music. Large bar on the left and some tables, small patio. Very friendly knowledgeable staff. Gave me free Coord Light (water) without ice, without my asking. Decent American style pizza. Probably the tastiest beers of the trip. Worth going out of your way to visit. |
76 North location and its pretty good. Very approachable beer with good guest taps. Noteably good service. |
