The beers aren’t that good; they put a marzen, of all things, on cask; and the brewmaster uses the same yeast for most of the beers (something one of the students decried). The program is wonderful, teaches students not just brewing but the business of beer. So it’s fun to visit and support the program. The Teaching Winery across the way has a gorgeous back patio with view, too. | 62 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 7/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 13/20 matt7215 (63) Cambridge, Ontario | June 21, 2011 free tastings of everything current and bottles and growlers to go. would be a tickers paradise for locals. fun stop if your in the area but certainly not a destination. | 56 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 11/20 JoeMcPhee (466) Toronto, ON, Ontario | May 31, 2011 Popped in here last weekend to see what was up. Pretty friendly couple of students working when we were there - they had the lager and the ale for sale in bottles along with a porter, witbier, Belgian IPA and a cask IPA as well. The Belgians were a bit phenolic, but the others were decent, particularly the porter. Tastings were free and most of the stuff was available for growler fills. Looking forward to seeing how this program develops over time. | 60 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 7/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 13/20 cfrancis (72) Ottawa, Ontario | April 18, 2011 Located on campus, brand new brewery store with all offerings on tap for sampling. Love to see an Ontario college bringing a course like this to fruition. Left with one of everything! |
