52 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 10/20 nbutler11 (301) Phoenix, Arizona | September 5, 2012 Essentially across the street from Lumberyard, so I dropped by. Service seemed disinterested and the samples I had were average. Didn’t bother with their food. Ho hum. | 64 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 6/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 15/20 saxo (111) Højbjerg, Aarhus, Denmark | July 21, 2012 Nice brewpub with live music. They do samples for a dollar each. They had 4 taps with their own brews and the other taps were guests. | 74 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 BlackHaddock (227) , England | April 3, 2012 A graduation weekend Saturday afternoon (May 2010) and there is nowhere to sit outside, inside is pretty busy too, most people appeared to be eating, so we did too, after trying some beers. They had 12 taps and a huge whisky selection.
I had their four beer taster (Great Golden, Bukkaganouj Pale, Agassiz Amber, Sasquatch Stout) and although not overly impressed myself, the wife liked the Great Golden Ale. I choose to have a Limited Edition Full Sail Ale after the tasters, I’d spied it on tap and followed it with an Anderson Valley Boont Amber (bottled) as I didn’t fancy any of their other draught offerings.
We both had salads to eat, the wife a Garden, mine a Greek one. Ideal for our needs and plentiful without filling us (we were, after all, on a drinking mission).
The place is modern with that semi-old-frontier-look. A canoe hangs above the main bar, we sat next to an evil looking skunk picture, set in a night sky. I noticed an Everards (from Leicester in the UK) pump clip on another wall as well as other beery bits dotted about. All in all a strange collection of tat seemed to be randomly perched around the joint, there is a mini stage and table tennis area in the backroom too.
The staff were busy, friendly and as quick as they could be, gave good directions to the Greenroom as well.
| 60 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 11/20 musinj6 (26) St. Louis, Missouri | February 14, 2012 Someone attempted to use their own memorabilia to decorate the bar, but it is all pretty dusty and smacks of an old, worn down bar. Creepy cartoon character dolls hang from an old canoe over top of the bar, so the ambience is not really consistent. Didn’t eat any food. The staff was nice enough. The beer selection has a good variety of local and regional brewers. The one beer I had of theirs (bitterroot ESB) was only fair. I think you could skip this one, but it might be work checking out some of the other beers. | 58 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 11/20 badlizard (130) Berkeley , California | January 20, 2012 Kind of a funky place. I can’t quite put my finger on what made the vibe of this place seem so off. At any rate, I didn’t eat here, as three different locals warned me away from the food at this place, "Their food sucks." The beer wasn’t great. The bar tender was OK, if a little odd. If you have limited time in Flagtaff, skip it. | 68 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 14/20 daknole (300) Scottsdale, Arizona | October 15, 2011 Beer selection is good enough. But the scotch and bourbon menu is crazy. Worth a visit for sure. | 68 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 12/20 decaturstevo (102) decatur, Tennessee | March 2, 2011 Nice place. Nice open bar cozy music playing, tvs on all different sports. Nice long bar as you walk into the place with table all round in the front area. A bartender who will treat you as nice as you will let her and beers that were good no homeruns but no strikeouts. Must visit right on the main street in a very nice old town like setting. Saw people with laptops so I would assume they have wifi but not 100% sure. | 66 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 13/20 Bart (106) Brussels, Belgium | September 12, 2010 Nice cosy brewpub with a smaller selection of own brewed beers of medium to good quality. Very friendly service, and good american style food. | 50 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 6/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 12/20 JBenson (10) Flagstaff, Arizona | April 11, 2010 Flag Brew is about as average as you can get with beer. All of their own brews are solid, but definitely nothing to brag about. Their guest taps are always good, but they’re never anything unique. In my opinion, the food here is the best part. In my most recent visits, the service has been either really good, or really bad. The best time to visit is during the summer time when you can sit outside on their patio; other than that you kind of feel cooped up in a mock-cabin environment. | 22 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 1/10 SELECTION 3/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 4/10 OVERALL 4/20 trampdaddy (43) California | March 13, 2010 second time visiting here. if you are a local you will get great sevise...But if you are not it may be some time before you get a opertunety to try one of their beers that arn’t worth the time you spend thier. go to beaver street over the rail raoad tracks (the right side) for some good beer and food |
