Great brewery, nice big space with lots of taps and an outdoor patio. Tour was a bit long, but the history of the company was interesting. Need to book this one in advance, but you could probably just show up and go on the tour, its pretty laid back.

Stopped in for the holiday party 2012 edition. Nice bar area, lots of taps(14 or so) and had 3 casks.

I’ve lived in Frederick most of my life and had never been before now. Surprised by the 2 month wait list but I understand the popularity. Samples galore, tour guide was funny and informative. Interesting sampling the IPA through its various steps, much more interesting then merely being told. Whole thing lasted 2 hours and walked away with a small glass and a poster.

Sign yourself up for a tour. It's worth it.

great tour with tastings of wort all the way to the finished product. they can only serve 4 oz tasters so you get 6 tokens + a couple extra on tour. limited / rare offerings on tap. store with beer to go and the usual schwag.

Went on a tour here- very impressive setup. Massive in size with a lot of contract brewing going on. There is a brewery tap room that you can hang out at at the end of the tour, but when I was there they did not have the proper license to sell beer on premise or serve pints of beer. So everyone could only get small tasters of their beer in small, plastic cups. Beers on tap were their standard lineup. Mediocre beers overall. The tour was fun, but the brewery is in the middle of nowhere and you cannot just show up to hang out and drink. So not really usable as a "ratebeer place." Really only in the database for the tours. You can buy six packs of their beers on premise, but they are about the same price as any retail outlet so no point.

I can’t say enough about this place. Not only is it my local brewery, but it is also my favorite. This place consistently makes good brews and they continue to surprise me with the new stuff they have been putting out. If you haven’t been there or try their beers, please do so. Tell them I said to stop by.

Tour at flying dog brewery in Frederick. Tap room is great ... minimalist, good tables, great access to the bar, plenty of space. Very good selection, value is great at $5, tour was well done, staff are informative, and not condescending like some people can be. Take the tour.

They have great beers. They host fun events support the local and non local scene. The tours are great if your into home brewing you pick up a lot of tricks of the trade.
