Best selection I’ve found in Memphis. Hit or miss on crowds and bar availability . 50 taps if I had to guess. First time I have seen Finches brewery.

A little piece of beer heaven located in downtown Memphis. They have over hundred beers on tap With a lot of local southern micro and craft brews. Part of a chain if that matters to you. Service was very friendly and the food was very Americana. They had Yazoo on tap which made me happy.

Nice big space on the corner - windows/doors on front beer garden open when weather is nice. Decent selection but lacking some regional locals.

In my short stay in memphis, Flying Saucer was clearly the best of the bars that I came across. It certainly caters to a slightly louder scene. They had a band playing the night I was there and had some games on as well. The service was always on point for me. Even with it being wednesday, it was a bit of a zoo. They had about 4 bartenders and it was never hard to get a beer. The selection was very good. They had a whole bunch of taps available and had everything at great prices. They were blowing out prima pils, and I was able to get it for $3. Flying Saucer was a great place to grab some good brews in Memphis. If I was staying longer in town I would’ve had some more here, but driving got in the way of spending a lot of time here

Looks a lot like the other locations with the plates on the wall and the waitresses dressed like slutty teenagers. Decent beer list. Voluminous but nothing too rare and not much local stuff. Being that it’s a block from Beale it’s really loud on a Thursday night. Better when it’s quiet.

Flying Saucer is the best place in Memphis for beer on tap. The ambiance of this one downtown is a little better than the one in Cordova. But if I were rating this place just for the Memphis area, it would be in high 90s.

My wife and I visited here on a Friday night. Conveniently located just a block north of Beale Street, and it was 2 blocks from our hotel. The inside is a lot like the other Flying Saucers I’ve been to, so no surprises there- big main room with the saucer plates all over the walls and ceiling. The only problem with the atmosphere was that the place smelled like a deep fryer, and that stuck in our clothes. At least it was smoke free. The waitress was nice but not necessarily the most knowledgeable. The tap list was solid and we took advantage of some southern labels not available in the Midwest, like Yazoo and Lazy Magnolia. There were no crazy standouts, though. Just a lot of solid stuff. The food was not bad but nothing special; average pub fare. Good specials throughout the week for some nice discount taps. Overall, probably the best beer place to visit in Memphis.

Fun place right off Beale. Friendly staff. As we found during our visit to the Nashville location a few months back, The Saucer features lots of handles, but many of them cater to (shall we say) a less beer-centric clientele. Lots of chaff amongst the wheat. That said, there was no shortage of worthwhile beers: Chimay White, Stone, a Flanders sour, etc. As far as food, we only had a quick order of the Asian wings, but they were well-prepared and tasty. We’ll stop in again the next time in town.

Lively place, fun crowd, friendly staff. Lots of local beers, all were pretty average. Food was OK, nothing special. Come here for the atmosphere and local ticks.

Loud and homely, never have to wait for a beer, selection is decent but missing a lot of the real good ones on the menu, food was good for snack foods, cheap and even cheaper on week nights as well as the special $3 pint of craft beer which changes daily, hot waitresses in short skirts. Pretty good I must say
